  1. The seams, hems, darts etc. on the J66 (you can see it better on the volt version) are crazy...

    is it concept art?!...

also the detail photography/lighting... amazing Wiedergabe.

  2. Oh man, the product (portrait) photography is amazing again (especially on the J1A). Plasticity, contours, gradients; the lighting seems exceptional on that series. Philippe Koll is making those garments and people look good!

(is the glasses modelling and pouting satirical already?)

also i caught myself agreeing with the bored sentiment and then I started really examining the detail shots and it seems that small stuff is changing/‘evolving’, no?

but at these prices it seems like I’d want to touch the stuff before being able to judge how far i’d be able to justify the hike.

  3. just open a few browser tabs in firefox, let it marinate, pack it in there non-minitor side facing inside and voilà, heated clothing; and better posture eventually... and you’re protected if someone wanted to stab you in the upper back...

seriously though, how compatible is that with bag straps/backpacks?

  4. Maybe the whole new manufacturing setup has something to do with it too?

And did those claiming it was „the same J47A“ check its ‚seam construction‘?

(I‘d probably charge more too if i had to sew the same pattern with thinner material ;-))

  5. I've got mine from Storm and I'm not in one of those 3 countries. Maybe your destination is on this storm shipping destination list (faq)? Now also available at Brandblack.

    • Seem true to size.
    • Very roomy in the front (perfectly comfortable for people with wide feet!) and rather narrow in the heel.
    • Grippy sole.
    • Not all that thrilled about the lacing points; imho there should be be a 'hook(?)' where that strip bends, for better strapping down of the ankle.
    • Perfectly weather resistant in rain and wet snow, out of the box.

feel like they have a wider/rounder appearance irl at 43 than in the promotional imagery.

    Spoiler

  6. The inner security flap on the front pockets is awesome as well. Keeps your phone/change/keys from sliding out when you sit, to counter style/position of pockets and the light/soft fabric.

(there seems to be some mystery about wether this is a “wide, drop crotch pant” or a “slim bit not too tight” pant if you read deacriptions across the vendors. Got my usual 50 in olive from SI and it was skin tight! The 52 in black was the wide drop crotch one but still not much wider than SI 50s usually are for me. (Misslabel or theres two versions about)

looking for small pouches to do some internal organization in my bag. Would any have any recommendations or could ID pouches like this.

TAD Transport Cubes, Arcteryx Index line, Muji has some thin, cheap ones, Arket does too. Patagonia has the Black Hole Something line.

And then there's all the cheap Tactical Supply Gear everywhere.

There's one Tactical supplier that does the cubes that are depicted in your image, but they would then have a velcro patch on the back for use with the Khard.

J55-MP: two holster and two front waist pockets, both detached entry 5mm reverse coil zips with autolocking sliders

both as in holster & front pockets with zips, right? Good to know.

i like dropping my phone/wallet into them on my Sage when commuting, but feel a bit uneasy since they're sans zipper and taking the sweater off becomes something you have to do rather consciously.

Even though I'm of somewhat similar build/height I wear an XL LA5 (which makes it look less 'smart' but still not ridiculously loose), since it's got those tight armholes. I love it for the collar, zip & material combo but wouldn't mind a zippered pocket somewhere.

  9. Given that he's wearing one of the argueably louder recent pants combined with the one shoe screaming hype collab I'd take this further and question if the original answer made any fucking sense at all. And I'll bite; how can you not "do Acronym justice" wearing Acronym head to toe and combining that fine 'introvert jacket' with those fine 'extrovert pants'? Are you saying he should have gone with a more contrasting or historically aware shoe choice?

It's the smoking, isn't it? It has to be. Because smoking kills.

  10. So there was this info going around (?) that there was less stock for this collection due to some changes in workplace law? What I never understood is if the department doing Acronym is exactly the same as the one doing the Tilak lines (EU/JPN/Military/Poutnik) or another department attached to that factory.

(daniis post above answer this somewhat)

But If there are less pieces of clothing in total, it would make sense that this would be one reason for the increased price. Also maybe my impression that pieces seem to be getting more complex construction wise plays into both as well.

I wonder what they're going to do. Find a new factory in Europe? (is there one?) Keep raising prices while producing what is possible? Move production to Asia? I would feel a bit different about it all if they decided to stop producing in Europe. For a while at least, I guess...

I have 'no problem' with raising prices to arrive at a returns level that compensates for years of hard work or to get to the level you feel your work and time is worth (plus funds for future plans). But I refuse to believe that price increases happen because a certain someone feels like people are gonna pay it anyway.
