@CatKillah it’s pretty nice, I was worried that it was too small when I first got it but it stretched out a little. Haven’t worn it a full day yet, planning on wearing it tomorrow and I’ll try to take some fit pics. Nice medium weight fleece, not too heavy or light. Soft too. The color is great, considering getting the ink blue as well now.

Thank you so much for the comment and the fit pics, they do look mad comfortable and great on you. Unfortunately they were sold out on BiG, but I'm sure I'll find them somewhere else.

Anyone have experience with Samurai sweatshirts?
I like this moss green pullover hoodie a lot.

I'm thinking about getting it too, and would also appreciate input from others.

For sale is the 3sixteen x Schott NYC Arabica Cowhide Perfecto  in size L. Released earlier this mont, limited to 100 pieces worldwide and sold out everywhere. More information please look at 3sixteen website: https://www.3sixteen.com/blogs/news/schott-for-3sixteen-arabica-cowhide-perfecto

I absolutely love this jacket, but have to let it go because it's slightly too big for me, as you might see in the pictures. For your information, I am 5'11'' and 175 lbs, I usually wear 3sixteen in size XL (shirts and Type 3 shadow jacket).

Price is $1550 shipped in US only, sorry no international shipping as the package is way too big. Paypal only. Local pick up is preferred in NYC/North NJ area.

Please message or email me for questions. Thanks for looking. Happy 2018!

  4. I have these in a size 36.  A few things I notice are:

Top block is roomy.  Almost a little baggy.

    The taper is significant

For a size 36 I believe these jeans have the tightest hem in my collection

I have yet to soak or wash mine but notice really no bleeding on my hands.  In contrast my other Japan Blue jeans (indigo X indigo monsters and military monsters) turned my hand blue from bleeding.

Fabric initially is very stiff and cardboard like

The blue on blue look is very unique.  Mike's pictures do a great job showing this.  The look of the jeans change in different lights.

Definitely a great pair of unique Japanese jeans at a great price.

I wish the leather patch was bigger to allow your belt to go underneath it.

Pocket bags could be a little deeper.

I have size 34. I gave them a warm machine wash with low speed spin this past weekend, hoping to remove starch and shrink the top block a little bit, and the result is great. It shrinks half an inch on the waist, about a quarter inch on the thigh and one inch on inseam. After hang dried, they feel very rigid and crispy, but I did not have too hard time putting them on, and after a couple of hours of wear, they've become very comfortable.

I too have a slight problem with the tight hem. With the length and indigo x indigo combo, I'd like to wear them with single cuff, and that makes it a little hard putting on my service boots. It'll be impossible to wear them with engineer boots, but they should go perfect with sneakers.

There's no bleeding for me either, and I enjoy the higher rise very much. All in all, they are definitely one of the best entry level denim jeans on the market like indigoshrimp @mikecch has said, and I can't wait to see how they evolve.

  5. Okayama Denim x Japan Blue "Sapphire Slub" reviewed here:

tl:dr Pretty much the same jeans as Godzilla (JB0626), apart from small details and the colour of weft.

I really like the fit and the fabric, but many of you old timers probably won't be too interested given the very non-traditional details.

Great review, they should arrive today, can't wait to get back home and try them on.

  6. Great reviews and photos @Babyson and @FeloniousMonk. I also sized up from my usual 34 to 36 whose top block is a little bigger than my likings. So I hot washed them, and even though the waist is still slightly loose, the thigh shrank quite a bit (half an inch) and is now perfect.

  7. Oni's secret denim 546ZR, 120 days of wear, 2 hot soaks. Going to wash and hang them up for a while to participate the Denimio Oni vs. Samurai contest.

Zippo fade on the coin pocket is my favorite feature on the pair.

  8. CatKilla, go for warm water instead. The combo of coffee/tea with cigarettes used to be my favourite too. But this combo is also very harmful to the body. Main point is that when have the urge to smoke, turn your attention away from it and focus your mind on other stuffs.

    Thanks for the advice.

  9. I got the 546ZR last week, gave them a warm soak and a hot machine wash, the measurements (BiG style) pre- and post-soak as well as the fit picture after soaking:

    Wait 36 - 34.6

    Hip 22.5-21.25

    Front 11 - 10.2

    Back 15 - 14

    Thigh 13 - 12.5

    Knee 9.25 - 8.6

    Hem 8.2 - 7.75
