Got a pair (guiltily) of the xvus as that denim looked more interesting to me from the Levi’s thread referenced a few pages back. Hopefully they arrive when the wife is at work so I can squirrel them away without her finding out! Lol. Also hoping we get another batch of stimulus checks, that’ll help pay these off.

Obviously not a hat I wear these days, but thought it would be interesting to share. My mom brought it when they came to visit last week. From my first visit to Walt Disney World in early 1983 (she thinks, could be late ‘82). Pretty neat to see the chain stitch embroidered name on the back! They don’t make em like they used to.

Check the third photo on the lower left corner- definitely some sort of stitching on the pocket, or so it appears...

@kiya very cool! Thanks for that. Wonder how/why the seller had them sitting around that long and now decided to move them. Glad I picked them up but hope I don’t end in the same situation ten years down the line... Yeah pretty good deal! Looking back now, the tab is visible in one of the photos, I just didn’t notice it. Seller just copied and pasted Self Edges description, so no mention of the tab there. Maybe they just didn’t know?

They definitely have a distinct but not unpleasant aroma, similar to the Hawaiis I have. I don’t know if I’d personally say it’s sweet though. Just a certain smell.

75 usd. Several watchers, but I was the only bidder, got them for the minimum. 

Interesting. I recently got this bnwt pair of unwashed/raw Okis via eBay. Was pretty surprised to find a red tab when they showed up. Pretty decent price in the end too.

I just started looking at this (thanks by the way!) and noticed that on your second slide of the 1900-1950 type 1, number 2 should be number 3 for the cinch back.

That’s what I got too. Pretty crazy! I saw that at the time where people were posting about getting attempted orders rejected on here. 
More power to him if people are willing to pay that, but takes away potential business from elsewhere. I guess not a concern if it takes the same amount of labor/time to make a pair, but you can get 2.5 times the price you would otherwise...

Looking at the photos side by side, they look slightly darker? Tried to go for same time of day and same place but probably a function of ambient lighting and how the iPhone reads it.

These were purchased for cheap when BiG stopped carrying the brand. At this point, it looks like Skull/FabFour may not exist anymore. Website doesn’t work and social media sites haven’t been updated in months or longer.

Anyway, going for the more contrasty fades of yore with this pair. Planning to get to 365 days of actual wear before working on something else.

Here’s another article I saw today that I thought was interesting. Obviously I think most of us understand why what we’re wearing costs what it does, I always get a chuckle when my coworkers talk about how expensive jeans are at 50 bucks usd. If only they knew!

I see Denimio is now carrying them. No knowledge myself. Items look fine I suppose, but I’ve only clicked through on one or two as navigating their website is an exercise in frustration. Looks like they have a lot of different products.
