Is that TecSys and accompanying TecSys compatible pouches on the pants? Or is it some other attachment mechanism?
It's just 2 separated 1in webbing spaced apart. Not tecsys at all.

I know its been covered but cant find the info. I need to wash my J50- WS and id be grateful of any suggestions about cleaning the whitening off the back of the collar. Im going to wash the shell with Grangers and then tumble dry as suggested in the Arcteryx video. Just want to know how to clean the marks on the collar.
What i had done is just spray a little of the granger's wash on the collar (let it absorb a little) and get a damp cloth to wipe it away. I do not recommend tumble drying air drying is always the way (personal preference).

Anyone know how the GT-J29A's detachable sleeves work? Does it use snap buttons, zipper, velcro, etc.?
Thanks in advance.
It's neither of those. It is a complete separate piece of it's own Here

I'm going to sound a bit snobby:
With Acronym's wider popularity, the wave has brought some idiots that would usually buy (insert hype trend) since it's what the cool/social media
industry shillspersonalities are wearing. I'm not saying ascribing to the aesthetic of a cult brand is a sufficient condition to indicate intelligence but I'm wary of people asking whether a shell is warm or if a soft shell is a stand alone piece. I know a lot of people here make Acronym considered purchases, many care about the provenance and development of the pieces and aesthetic. The average conspicuous consumer seems less inclined to give a damn. With all this in mind, can you guys all do me one big favor? When you want to type "legit check," can you use the grown-up word "authenticate" instead?
Lets not forget the countless questions that people asked without using the simple search bar or go back a few pages. ( even though when asking this specific question they state " I know this question is asked before" ) sadly, we will still see "legit check" and questions that can be found with a simple search. they will never see what we just said here. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This DIY was planned awhile back about 4 to 5 months, but didn't have the time to get on with it until now
Thank both Kamikaze for the challenging Idea, and Jbob for shipping me his precious J36GT for this experiment.
I will not disclose any sources
Enjoy All!
_Challenges
- I have to use this beginner machine Singer (stitches might not come out clean as it exceeding it's purpose) forgot what model this is but here is a Link to the more updated version Here
- There was no way to actually get this right if I do not have the jacket on hand.
- It took awhile to actually begin the process because I was waiting for the "escape zip" ( YKK:Top open zip ) that took 30 days to produce. ( when I finally got it it didn't measure up to what I wanted but oh well but lucky for Jbob the intended XL worked on his sz L jacket )
- I spend awhile trying figure out the measurements, and putting the Jacket on and off ( I'm a sz M)
Here is the J36_C GT
- Panel itself fully tapped and stitched back and front
- It's 3L Gore the best I could find for an average person
- Details of the panel with the J36 [Everything is fully functional: Snap / Fidlock socket / Escape Zip
- More details and Finally the Fit Pic ( Don't mind the phone I am taking the pictures remotely)
- [ I am a sz M and with the panel it practically a sz XL I already tried to layer a bit and this was the best I can do ]
SpoilerJ1a_C in 2 weeks maybe.... hope I got the time. Sorry JBob I am keeping this J.K

I know this has already been talked about but I would like to echo my disappointment with construction and quality control on the P23's. I must have had at least four or five holes in the elastic cuffs when I took them to the tailor to be reinforced. If it happens again I will likely have them replaced with ankle zips from another pair of base-layers.
That said, I'm still madly in love with them. They grew on me quickly.
That happened to my P23 as well. It is a very easy fix if you own a sewing machine. The problem that i noticed is that the stitching that runs down isn't a stretch stitch which is why when attempt to put them on it just break the stitch there. Not sure someone made a mistake and forgot to do a stretch stitch at that area instead of a regular straight one.

We're beyond that as a solution unfortunately. There's zero grip left in this sucka.
My suggestion would be to use ( ST 925 pellon perma stick ) in between the tape and gore. The tape say pressure stick but i would apply the tape and iron press. You can apply it twice over each other if you like depending on how much bonding action you need. Iron press twice and give a 15 mins gap in between to let the adhesive cool. Be sure to also use a fabric over when pressing so heat is only apply and not actually burn anything.

Just received my Prestos and it seems like one of the seams is already off, any idea how to repair it please? Is elastic glue a good idea?
Put a thin piece of cloth right over it and iron over it until it stick. I going to assume they didn't iron the tape properly on to the material. If that not the case then the tape was defective from the start.

So what sewing machines are recommended, for all round, clothing and bags etc.
This is the machine that i started with 2 years ago the Singer 4443. I still use this today so i would recommend the same for you, but you can get the newer version if you like. This is a good "basic" all around to start off with.

- You will also need these needles to sew various materials.
- I would also recommend getting one of these sewing foot set as it will help you sew certain materials and do certain jobs easier.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NEPKX8M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
As you progress you might end up looking at machines that are specialized to do certain jobs or sew certain things. Now that is a whole new world, and I am still learning myself.
For me even with 2 machine i still feel the need to get 3 other machines to achieve that perfect construction.
Hope this helps

What material is the outside of the bag?
Great work!
Nice work on the bag. Sewing several layers of heavy material like that can be challenging, Did you use an industrial straight stitch or a walking foot on it?
Thank you ! I used a Walking foot and material is XPAC

A bit of a sad story from this past weekend...
If the ding turns into a small hole, is there anything I can do to repair it? A patch from the inside? A random pocket on the back?
I would simply patch with a sturdy seamtape either from the inside or both. That depends on you. An accident happened to my j43 except mine is located on the elbow. Im hoping the degree of damage is not huge. If you need a strip let me know.

The whole bag? Excellent work!
Yes the entire thing.
So is the top flap is held with those Fidlock nipple things, or are they for something else?
That is correct, it is used to hold down the top flap as it has two compartment.

I ALSO DEMAND CHRIS TO POST HIS AWESOME BAG!
Your demand is met.
I originally did not want to post this on here as I felt that I was unsatisfied with the results as soon as I completed it. I have problems with accepting my work as I never seem to be satisfied with my own performance as I hunger for perfection.

Anyone know how easy it would be to stitch the 'bottom' part of these closures? Doable by a tailor?
I want to advise you that if you plan to stitch this under a machine be aware of the length of the stitch, and the pre-exisiting punches. You can possibly punch and make existing holes bigger which can result with a loose completion. Overall, it can easily be completed.

hi everyone,
to follow up on the washing topic, would like to seek advise on how to wash the following:
J46-S HD Gabardine Climashield® Coat
J49-SS schoeller® 3XDRY® WB-400™ Jacket
LA5-MP Object Dyed Multiprene Long Sleeve Shirt
P10-DS schoeller® Dryskin™ Articulated Pant (didn't quite catch what the best conclusion/option is for washing these...)
is normal drycleaning ok for all of the above?
* also, the 'glue' on the ACRONYM tag on my J46-S seems to be falling/peeling off... what should i use to re-glue it back in place?
thanks alot in advance for your help
The sz tag is basically a thick seam tape. You can try to press it with an iron, but I caution you to have something laying on the face of tag so you do not accidentally melt the label and char everything else around it.
( it does require a great amount of heat / pressing down / pressure / Hold to start bonding with the fabric considering how thick the tags are)

so I returned the SISP sneakers and I got another pair in a size that fits me but I was devastated to find that when they arrived the pull tab on one of the shoes was partially destroyed T____T
does anyone have a recommendation for what to do about this? I can always return them and get a full refund but I'd really just prefer having these damn shoes. IDK if there is any hope for repairing them though
If this happened to me i would cut them both out completely and just burn out the ends. Now if you arent crazy enough to do this i would just return them.

another pants question again.
probably going for the p10-ch but want to make sure I'm getting the right size. as the acg cargo is a similar fit, I'm a large in those would I be looking at getting the same, a large in the p10?
In comparision with ACG Cargo sz L
P10 S sz L - Length shorted by 1 inch
Cuffs are tighter at the bottom
Waist is a size smaller by 1 size ( cord not pulled down )

Thinking about the J1B and wanted to ask, is there any practical difference between the 100% Garbardine and Gore-tex pro? Both are weatherproof, I'm assuming one is thicker than the other. Thanks for help.
Garb is not weatherproof it's cotton / GoreTex Pro will repel anything except for Lighting.
