is it still mandatory to wear masks outside in Japan?
Mask wearing was never mandatory in Japan at any point. Official guidance from the government is you do not need to wear a mask outdoors when you are approximately 2 meters apart from others, or when you are not talking at a distance of less than 2 meters. In practice 90% of people still wear a mask at all times in public except when eating or drinking. I am seeing a larger uptick in bare faces with all the tourists coming back but it is pretty rare to see Japanese with no masks. This is all in Tokyo, I hear Osaka is much more relaxed.

This was my fathers watch when he was a naval aviator in the 70s and 80s. It has been sitting in a drawer broken for the last 25 years and I finally convinced him to let me have it. Found a shop not to far from where I live that seemed confidant that they could fix it and it seems like they did a good job. I kept most of the wear and tear because I like the look of a worn watch. Need to find a proper bracelet and maybe replace the crystal at some point but I am happy that this is finally working again.

Damn this is cool. I can't get used to wearing a sling bag with anything that has a placket. How do you feel about it? I just feel like the two sides of the coat get so bunched up and uncomfortable, but maybe I'm just persnickety. Like something about the sling being a full circle around me, but the coat not being a complete circle. Am I just OCD?
It's not so bad with the ring cost because it is so voluminous anyways. It kind of help hold the coat closed when I don't want to bother rearranging the buttons and ties. Either way I need a bag, no car so when I go out I need to carry all my crap with me. A bag helps with this

Anyone familiar with old M series Buzz Rickson stuff? Just picked up this faded B-15D, in decent shape considering the age. I quite like the look, very different from any other jackets I own. Knits are a bit beat so I might get them replaced at some point but it is wearable as is. Product number is M11045, can't find much info on it even searching in Japanese. Any idea how old this actually is? Apparently the color processing is called ナイトロフェードモデル (nitro fade model).

They look great @pudaspriest, it’s also good to see the non-standard features like the half-lined shovel pockets, felled inseams and crotch rivet. What weight is that denim?
13 oz denim in the Caribou cut per my original invoice. Added the fly rivet, shovel heads(which are half lined) and felled inseams. Amazing pair of jeans, wish he was still making them!
