  1. ^i am that kind of magician myself.........

so far i havn't encountered an awful lot of customers knowing it better than i do... i think mostly it's about the way they "see", or better, imagine themselves. or how their wifes want them to look like.... not kidding..... today slim or even skinny is the new thing, and hell i don't give a damn. it looks silly though, most of the time. but we all know, that a slim tapered japanese jeans looks like a regular straight cut on some 38 & 40 waists, or at least they appear to look like these...

@ben: from my point it doesn't matter if the denim is sanforized or unsanforized for a great slim fit. if the sizing is correct, and the cut works with the body, than unsanforized will be as comfortable as sanforized.

  2. Just found out that BiG now offers free shipping and reduced Prices on Samurais. (Not sure when SE started offering free shipping but I was kinda surprised by it when I ordered lately). The competition seems to get harder.

yeah me too, since i found out i didnt stop staring at the sams wwii model like a lunatic

  3. I was planning on buying a pair of 3012, and tried on a friends worn/washed/dried pair in the size that I needed (34), and then tried on a pair of new ones for good measure, and the waist was super tight, where as the legs fit me really well.

Can anyone confirm a measurement change from last year, or did I just happen to try on a weird pair?

there tend to be small changes from run to run. but i am generalizing now to the point of no substance....

what matters in the end is not how your friend's pair fits you, but how the jeans fit you're going to buy. maybe try another cut? or try two or three 34s for the best fit.

  4. the washers seem to hate on the non-washers so I think us veteran non-washers just seem to stay quiet.

yeah, max and i are always discussing about this new recent change.

but it's no hate really. don't worry. and it doesn't matter either. at all.

    despite what ben propagades  :P

^I like it that way ;)

  5. yeah, i don't know who's the new owner either. saying "new", because my boss talked to kent tsujimoto once and were told, that they [tsujimoto family, RMC, nylon etc.] are not owning denime [anymore].

that said, the denime of nowadays, is to me, regarding the other osaka 5, the most mainstream fashion oriented.

  6. you guys are right, and I wasn't referring to the way the japanese and asian people / cultures are using their "own" swastika. i am fine with that.

but the swastika used in the context of the second world war, as a nazi thing, or by the ex vet and then criminal hells angels, as a counter culture and fuck government thing, are in fact, something else entirely. and there is a kinda repro thing going on, especially inside japanese mc gangs, that embraces the hells angel swastika to express their lifestyle. which isn't cool at all.

  7. I don't disagree, it's just one of those things; look at all the Japanese brands that use swastikas and a straight up Nazi imagery. Anyways, a topic for the blunders thread.

    right!

that is something that sickens me even more. baaaaad japanese. the repro attitude should has its limits... nobody today is a us vet hells angel, that got fucked by nazi germany AND his own government, and has some kind of score to settle with his own government now. still not my preferred way, but at least its no superficial fashion related abuse of entirely fucked up symbols.

  8. there isn't much to say...

the design is funky, i like it. the denim is generic, the patch's leather is ugly/cheap, just what you can expect from the son of the DIESEL guy, or from a franchise in general.

and actually, i've never seen handprinted seagulls like these before, not the form, but all the brushes details etc., i think they are not painted by hand, but by machine. its just too much..
