  1. wow if u buy this gamer laptop u will get a sexy cyber asian gf (her vision is augmented to wear sunglasses at night, just like JC Denton) and an extremely krauted out porsche 911.

    Come on.

Watch this on your smart phone:

edit: It's obviously going to work on your cpu, but it's so much more immersive if you have a vr headset as well.

A 90s-esque rail shooter with a bad HUD on it. Please stick to clothes, Errolson.

  3. Errolson + Team been really digging into the Memphis style.

Kinda neat as a concept, and I'm sure they'll fly off shelves, but I kinda feel like the patterns would work on something more like the Reebok Fury or Nike Rifts. I don't know if it's just my malaise with the brand direction/pricing that's causing me to be pretty lukewarm.

While I really love the dropcrotch silhouette, again, who would wear acronym pants to practice any martial arts?

On a mobility issue, I actually happened to once upon a time to wear some P17-S or whatever to some newb *kinda like* Iaido class. The cuffs always ended up getting stuck on my calves every time I stretched out far enough, and that's in a size Large (I'm 6'1"/cyclist build).

My ex's yoga tights, on the other hand, worked perfectly fine.

(Yes, I am a giant nerd)

Is drop crotch controversial here? You don't like the functionality (it's not necessary?) or the aesthetic ― or both?

The shorts are fine, if a bit diaper-y + dorky in the same way a cell phone holster on an office drone's belt is. Sure. Do what you want.

It's the practice knife/brass knuckles/push dagger in the molle straps that really make it extremely embarrassing to me.

I am not actually a bad ass ninja who kills people for a living. I am someone who paid over 1000 euros for a pair of shorts that you can attach pockets to the belt.

It reminds me of this Onion article:

Man Struggling To Pierce Orange Peel With Fingernail Under Impression He Could Kill If He Had To

  6. FS:

Two pairs of P13-S Size M: One black, typical ETA fading, one Raf Green (has small holes by right pocket, and a fade spot that I haven't tried to take out yet).

I have the bags, at least one spec sheet, somewhere.

400 or best raisin-able offer for 'em both, I just don't fit in them anymore and I never really fit in them that well in the first place.

Will send pics to those who are interested in.

For what it's worth, I've got a pair of Outlier Climbers, which are made of a very similar material to the P10TS-DS. I've owned them for about four years, and I've done lots of barbell training in them, which involves dragging a knurled steel bar up against the shins repeatedly. I've thrown em in the wash absolutely caked in chalk many times, and they're still as black as the day I got them. So you are likely fine washing the P10's as often as you want.

So what do you do about the inevitable pilling, the interior "fuzz" coming off in wear areas?

I used to like outlier a lot for getting into work, but the longevity of them is about a year and change before they start looking like they need to be tossed.

Here's some Schoeller ecorepel trousers by onu.is and some in Dryskin by a brand called Greenlite.

Man, I got some pants at Uniqlo the other day for 20 bucks that are basically the same exact thing as those.

    https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/men-dry-cropped-jogger-pants-188215.html?dwvar_188215_color=COL09#start=9&cgid=men-activewear-bottoms

Sure they're not Scholler or Dryskin, but they're fine for riding a bike into work.

  9. I checked out the stuff at Mercer and while there's improvements, I still didn't really feel like I wanted to buy anything. IMO the hooded sweatshirt was the best thing there.

The pants had nice covered seams, got rid of those awful chair ruining back pocket zippers, but the branding + contrast vent color on the black pants were a no go. They are also really heavy, and not in a good "this will last for ever" way. 250 was too rich for my blood for the compromises.

The shoes were ok, but I'd rather get something more utilitarian than a string shoe.

T-shirts were whatever to crap. Poncho was whatever.

  10. Uh, getting the original prices of the clothes is literally a google search away. Do people really just sit on grailed all day and think "hmm, this seems worth it?"

  11. I would bet you all the money in the universe that if the poncho had a little ACRNM velcro tab on it, and made with Goretex instead of mystery DWR, people on this very forum would be paying over a grand for it within seconds of release.

Shit, people will probably do that anyways.

  12. I'm going to go off on a tangent here from resellers and try to tackle one of the biggest issues I feel like exists in the "techwear community"/"brand ambassadors"/etc. All feelings personal and feel free to debate me on any of this. It's also a bit stream of consciousness so sorry for rambling.

Let's push back to another fashion subculture like the old 60s Mod community. The brand of the day was definitely was someone like Fred Perry, but there were many more options in style (with suits or casual) and aspects that would have someone be into. Mod niche was able to continue on through a music scene, the scooters, and to a lesser extent, doing amphetamines at your local dance hall. As dumb as it sounds, it at least had something defining other than clothing. You also had to work harder than throwing $3k usd at Acronym to be "the shit."

Getting a little philosophical here but, what's another united tie/outlet of Techwear other than buying stuff/talking about buying stuff? There's no binding music style (Uhh, Burial is cool for the Acronym ads?)/art movement (I guess maybe glitch? Lifting stuff from TDR in the 90s? Brutalist concrete design from the late 60s/early 70s? Cyberpunk anime (which is very very dorky to most))/source of creativity (minus a very few people getting into learning how to sew or use cobra buckles)/activity (wearing 800 dollar action man pants to post on computer doesn't count)/political movement (Yeah, no, we don't need to go there).

I'm not saying that there needs to be a total encompassing ethos, but I feel without something else, the concept of just being an instagram beast who posts the latest drop with some dslr shots becomes extremely shallow for what the look is trying to portray (badass ninja mans in future gears, which is definitely the effect that Acronym is advertising with their videos of punchy-kicky, promo shots of Errolson staring at samurai armor, etc).

People aren't as hard repelled by off-beat designers Yohji/CDG mainline/what have you, where the design in of itself is the ultimate goal.  I repeatedly say "they're just clothes" to try to steer it into more of a thought that it's the design in of itself that should just be appreciated, rather than becoming the aforementioned badass ninja man.

  13. The 25DS and the J1TS are kind of cute, but not worth blowing that amount of cash on them versus the older seasons. Everything else is a pretty hard pass.

    Maybe I'm just getting old?

I actually like when people write wild stuff in their descriptions. It's like they were actually invested in the gear they bought, not just slinging mom and dad's cash around.

He sure is invested in his product for trying to charge 1350 for one of the more bland acronym coats that's missing the jacket sling.

He's also not really that funny, but w/e.
