You would be a small/medium.  I would say go medium, large might be a little too baggy.

I'm 5'7/140 and I was swimming in the small.

so how exactly does duties work...i purchased a  j46-s and duties came out to $30 at 2% rate 

how are some of you guys getting $150 in duties/taxes

Duties, if issued by a government official, are completely arbitrary.

There are rules regarding percentage charged for import which depend on material, country of origin/primary manufacture a host of other factors - then there are trade agreement considerations.

However, if you buy from a company that uses a brokerage (like Fedex/UPS), they will charge you a standard fee dependent on the amount you've declared and a general schedule they have.  If you have the time and inclination (it can be worth it), you can claim the duties yourself and waive "their" duties and their brokerage fee.

Basically, it's a crap shoot with a lot of weird rules depending on where you live and what your country's import laws/officers are like.

Thanks for this, but looking for used. USD to Canadian exchange for this would be close to or equal to (maybe even over??) $2000 factoring in shipping and duties. 

True.  Even minusing duties and adding proxy fees - it would defintiely be around 2k.

Ignore the obvious old stuff still tagged 'new.' Still want that j-41 gt though. 

JP sites are usually good in this regard, but it says the guy is 5'6 140 lbs and wearing a medium J47A.  Being 5'7, 135 that looks more like how my smalls fit.

From my experience with them, they only have one point woman for online order customer service. If you do get her on the horn, she is awesome. I get the impression they are understaffed and they operate semi independently of the actual store. I agree with dophinski though, if your orders are in you should get your product. I find the website reconciles it's inventory pretty quickly.
