  1. Sorry if this is wrong thread to ask this question.

I've been looking for a vintages Levi's jacket for quite some time. I believe I came across one I like. It appears to be from mid 60s to 71 judging by pictures.

However, the washing label says made in Tunisia. Is this possible for an authentic 60s jacket?

  2. The 130x will stretch more than the 220x. Although a little heavier the weave is looser which always makes denim more breathable.

Thanks for response. I actually ended up returning them, figuring they were too thick for me.

Anyone tried the 101x yet? I'm curious as how these compare to the 100x. Are they as tightly woven and will they stretch/shrink somewhat equally?

  3. Need some advice...

Anyone have experience with the 130x and now it differs from 100x and 220x?

My 220x are great jeans (best I've ever had), but the stretch has been pretty much negligable over their lifespan. Will 130x stretch more?

Anyone had issues with 130x being warmer than 220x? The 220x are pretty thick for 14.5 oz denim, and the the 130x are 2.5 oz more.

  4. I bought a selvage Nudie perry jacket a year ago. Probably worn it 70% of the days since. I'm very pleased with how it's turning out. Washed it twice I think. It's slightly small for me now though so not getting much wear nowadays (If anyone wants to take over I'd maybe part with it).

  5. Bought a pair of size w30 30BSP couple of weeks ago. However, I feel the cut isn't for me (I'm more of an SL-series guy). I have worn them for a day, so any stretch that has occurred is likely inevitable to anyone wearing the jeans.

I feel it's safer to refer to the stores when it comes to measurements. As I said, they have been worn for a day so little stretch should be expected.
Also, they have been hemmed 2 cm. Measuring the outside seam from waist to cuff i get 45.5". When measuring crotch seam (the point where seams meet) I get 35 inch to cuff.

    EDIT:
I did my very best measuring according to the "how to measure buttoms"-guide here on forum.
    This is what I got:

Waist: 32" (perhaps just a hair under)
    Front rise: 10.75"
Rear rise: 15-15.5" (really hard to measure as it curves)
    Thigh: 11.7"
    Knee: 8.8"
    Cuff: 7.45"
Inseam: 35" (taken from just below center-of-crotch-seam to cuff)

The how-to-guide here seems to use a slightly different thigh reference than other sites use, resulting in a slightly wider thigh measurement than compared to other sites (I think).

If you require more measurements please ask.

  7. Don't know if it's ok to post this here. I hope you don't mind.

I bought the wrong size for my 30BSP. I got the size 30 while I need 31. They are hemmed just 2 cm, worn for 2 days and not soaked.

If anyone has a pair size 31 and wants a pair of 30, let me know and we can trade. A clean sale of size 30 could also work. I'm in EU.

  8. I've been looking for a small black bifold wallet that I can combine with a lanyard for quite a while. Lets just say that i've given up the idea to find a wallet with lanyard fitting, so I decided on getting just a regular small black wallet and take it to a leather artisan for install fitting.

The options I'm eyeing right now is the Born + Bred from rivet and hide and the Tanner Goods utility bifold. The Tanner goods appear to be slightly bigger by the measurements. I don't need any coin compartment.

Anyone have any experience with the Born+Bred? Never heard of it, and I can't find much information about it.

Any other options I should be looking at?

Appreciate any input I can get :)

EDIT: Oh, and to not bore you completely I can show you my Angelos wallet. Used since April or so I think. Taking it out of my pocket during days, so unfortunetly it's not seeing full time use.

  9. I'm sorry for chiming in with this here, but didn't know where to ask.

I bought some Red Wings recently. More specifically a pair of Cigar Beckmans and a pair of black Harvester. The Harvesters are my favorite I'd say. Only worn them a couple of times though. I've had a pair of Iron Rangers before which fitted great aside from being slightly short.

The Beckmans I have worn some though, but never in rainy weather. An issue I'm having though is that these are freaking hard in the leather, and they are hurting my left feet on the bone right next to smallest toe. Today I woke up and foot is all blue and swollen in this area.

Is there any way I can wear them out in this area?

I've been thinking about taking them for a walk in the snow and letting the moisture help with stretching. However, it's still autumm weather here in Sweden, and no snow to be seen. I've also been considering taking them to a cobbler.

I'll post some pictures later if you are interested. I think the harvesters are EU exclusive. It's really too bad cause Red Wing really hit the sweetspot with these I think.

  10. Last spring I was looking high and low for a SMALL wallet with fitting for a lanyard/chain, but without finding anything I was happy with. Something slightly smaller than my Angelos No.3 (4.5" x 3.75"), preferably in black. Most wallets I find in small size does not have a lanyard fitting :/

  11. I currently have a pair of SL-220x which I'm happy with. I'm currently on the hunt for a pair of discret standard blue indigo jeans, so naturally my idea was the SL-100x. I have some questions though.

My 220x are really stiff, even though I've worn them for a couple of months. I don't think they have stretched much (or atleast far less than any other denim I've owned). I currently wear s32, but they are slightly big around waist, though rest is good. I was thinking, could I size down the atleast to 31 (-1 size) for the 100x fabric hoping for them to stretch out for a better mold? I don't think I can go much smaller than my 220x in size 32 as for thigh measurement, but if the 100x does stretch more it might be the better option.

Thanks in advance. Really hoping my next pair will be another pair of 3sixteen :)

  12. well...measure your 3sixteen and then compare that measurement you got with the size chart of the Caribou from Ande ?!

uhm, ye... Don't really know why I asked. Think I wanted some general opinion "it's considered short/long/mid". Think the caribous might be too long for my liking.

  13. I'm thinking about getting a pair of caribous. The cut seems great for my body. I have a question though. Would these be considered having a long or short rise measurement? I particularly dislike jeans with long measurement, since it kind of feels like you're sagging. My 3sixteen sl 220x sits pretty well, but I wouldn't want any longer.
