  1. So you can vouch for them? Sweet, I'll check it out.

I don't suppose you know how they handle goods tax? I'm assuming I'm just going to have to take that hit, lucky it's only 5% in Japan.

  2. I kind of regret not having the HD2. I ordered one a while ago but it went AWOL in delivery. Bought a J25-SS instead this season. I prefer that it's a zip-up; much more convenient to don and doff (which happens a lot in a hotter climate). I do wish it had the forcelock from the HD2 though.

  3. I also heard this information, does anyone know why???

As far as I know, they will be selling items in small batches over the next year (through the SS season). Similar to how in the past six months they released individual items like the T6, 3A-12TS, and P11-CH.

So we should still be seeing new products come out, just not a whole season's worth.

    Also I think there'll be a 3A restock in February-ish.

  4. The Acronym (as opposed to Gore) label says Do Not Iron so I'm pretty hesitant to try it. Appleseed recommended in the other thread that I try ReviveX, will give that a go.

Have a look at this video

It applies to Arc'teryx GORE-TEX, maybe it applies to all Gore stuff?

  5. (Pretty sure I've seen the first pic in this thread? Let me know if that's a problem and I'll take it down.)

That's TEKsevenZERO if I'm not mistaken.

That's the S-CP2 btw, not a Softshell (SS) model.

  6. Personally loving the stealth branding, that and the matte zippers have been on my wish list for sometime. Hoping for matte black buttons and speed lock cords in the future.

I don't mind the matte or gloss zippers. The gloss ones are more water resistant, but at the end of the day I think the difference would be negligible.

But I do miss the logos. Having blank logo tape is very nice, because the ACRNM logo on the tape is the most prominent logo on the piece. But the smaller tags I think should have remained. They're small enough to be subtle, but still give the garment that little bit of extra attention that you would expect from ΛCROИYM.

  7. All the branding was removed from the speedlock, sleeve hitch tabs, chest pocket... Also comes with blank logo tape. I like it. Cable tape is gone too but I never used that anyway.

Not just the J1A-S it seems. The J38-S doesn't have the logo tag, and neither does the J25-SS. What's odd is that those tags were there on earlier versions of these products. The versions seen in the video seem to have them.

  8. If you need that carabiner, it's TacLink by ITW Nexus.

It's not so much that I need the carabiner, it's just that for that price there's no reason they shouldn't include one.

Heck, it's 34eur more expensive than last year's model already.

  9. http://www.acronym.de/product.php?id=556

Maybe not this season.  I can't find 'carabiner' in spec.  It's good for me to pass this season.  A little bit disappointed with J1A-S.  Some details removed.  Worse than previous version of J1A.

Well the pictures have a carabiner, and the description says "With carabiner attachment loop and carabiner garage", and the weight says "Incl. removable parts".

If it arrives without it, I'm going to be very angry.

  10. Am I the only person who didn't receive carabiners for their p10-s from both haven and hanon? Fw1213 had carabiner accessories included.

You bought a P10 from haven and from hanon?

Mine is arriving from acrnm store on Friday, I'll post back.

  11. I am similar to Swooc as in the J32-GT is my first real Acronym hardshell (other than my WS-J25, which is somewhat specialised jacket). Especially with the signature features such as the gravity pockets, escape zips and what not. But, apart from the gravity pockets, which I knew won't have much use for, I do appreciate the other features, especially the escape zip and 3d-collar-hoodie-stowaway-featurey-thing, these two features I can see using often, the latter mainly for aesthetic reasons (and wind protection). I also knew more advance jackets weren't for me, I wanted a more subtle styling, and have waited some time till the J32 showed up. As for construction and comfort, it really does feel great and well made, and I guess that's the most important bit. Not all the features are useful, but if it wears great, and the quality is agreeable to the price you paid, I would say that's a keeper right there. And yes, the fabric is loud, which might be an operation hazard in your ninja ops, might want to switch on the active noise cancelling array.

I'm starting to think that different features appeal to different people, but since most jackets have most of the features there's something for everyone.

For instance, I never use the escape zip. For me it's always faster to simply unzip it the regular way, but I think it's awesome that so many people enjoy using it and it's definitely something that I wish all my jackets had.

For me, the most useful feature is definitely the jacketsling. It's just about the most convenient way to carry a jacket without wearing it, perfect for climates with changeable weather.

  12. the j32-gt being my first acronym piece, i'm a little underwelmed by it all. i was expecting something fancy with the gravity pockets (remember seeing a video on youtube about some sort of spring mechanism used), and in the end it's just an opening with a buttoned down flap haha. still a cool jacket, but i think i paid way too much for it.

on another note, i've forgotten how noisy goretex shells can be.

Lucky you, someone just posted in the community sales thread that they want to buy one (small)

    http://supertalk.superfuture.com/index.php/topic/147967-the-acronym-community-sales-thread/page-8#entry2998349

Or if you haven't worn it out yet (removed the tags) you could just return it.

  13. Just discovered the J1A-S's gravity pockets don't have zipper access on the sleeve.

Slightly disappointed by that. It's not quite as easy to load it from the cuff.

Still works pretty cool though. I can manage to catch my phone about half the times I try to deploy it, so I might stick to using it for my wallet instead.
