A bunch of examples of the 1947 exists but figured I’d drop in my photos. Still relatively dark but starting to show some lighter indigo colors. These have taken a backseat while i wear these warehouse 1001 but I’ll get back to them again. These seem like they’d be a better colder weather jean since the weave feels much tighter.

Has anyone machine washed a pair of the rinsed Warehouse jeans from Self Edge yet?
I was looking at the 1001, and I normally take a 34 in just about every jean. I was curious if the waist in particular would have additional shrink with a machine wash.
yeah i've machine washed mine 4-5 times already on cold and air dry. the waist shrinks back to where it was new...maybe a tiny bit smaller but stretches out quickly. i just washed mine yesterday and put them on this morning and they've stretched back out to comfortable.

How much shrinkage would you say you got?
only noticeable thing was the length which i think i lost a little under an inch maybe? the rest of the jean shrank a little but stretched back out quickly.

Woah, I love how much the gray is coming out. How did you go about washing your pair? Contemplating washing mine soon.
I flip them inside out and wash them with other laundry on cold and air dry. I'm guessing i've been washing them about every 10 wears.

I’ve had to wash these black 1947s (and everything else I wear) pretty often since my kid has gotten a habit of wiping his hands on me whenever he touches something gross (which is all the time) and have gotten some pretty nice grays coming out in a short amount of time. Really love how this black fabric ages.

Belts

It's not an exact science since there are so many preferences in play here which is why there is a recommendation and also the actual measurements. I almost always just get the size up in my belts and it works for me even if i gain weight. I was true 30 waist and all my belts are size 32 and even now when i'm a 32, the same belt works just on a different hole. if you need the middle hole to be 34", then the size 34 should work.

I've been seriously considering exactly the same... I don't have any Warehouse, and am very curious about the Samurai tees.
Yeah this is my first pair of warehouse jeans. I’ve had their tshirts for a while now so I’m glad to be able to try their jeans. I like these samurai shirts. It’s a great lighter weight shirt that doesn’t feel flimsy. It’s also super soft. Cold wash and line dry resulted in pretty minimal shrinkage.

I think there’s enough room at the top of trash people mountain for them both.

Any general consensus on sizing the black 1947s from SE? I've seen a few people say go up and others are saying not to.
Leaning towards a sized up 38 since the thigh measurements look better, 13 in. on a 36 is pretty slim for me these days.
Edit: 36 is sold out right now anyways, so it's 38 or bust. Most people I’ve sized in this jean have gone with the size up. The fabric is forgiving so several people have opted for going with their normal size to get a trimmer look. You just deal with the usual tight waist every time you wash. I believe almost every employee at self edge who has gotten this jean has gone with a size up. I’m a 33 in the indigo 47 and a 34 in the black. They fit almost the same to me.

If I’m understanding this discussion correctly, it seems like those jeans are completely ruined and unwearable. Send them my way and I’ll properly dispose of them for you.

I recently found out that Boyworldwide was living in Singapore and going to the same school as me. Totally blew my mind. I’ll be getting a pair of the Hale Bopp’s once they’re released.
Wow that is a very small world. The hale bopps are so good. Def going to try to get a pair too

It depends how much wiggle room you have with the one wash measurements. If the one wash is cutting it close already esp in the legs, I’d def say size up. The waist may end up being loose after stretch but better than too slim of thighs
