  1. Also reviving this.

It's kinda amazing how it's blown up, I'm really happy for all of the pioneers pushing like RP Boo, Traxman, DJ Spinn, DJ Rashad bringing it overseas, You have to also thank Planet Mu, Honest Jons & Tim & Barry for bringing them through to new audiences though.

These are some of my favourite things to come out of the scene.

While the Chicago scene is the original and undoubtedly the best and I'm kinda sceptical of footworks purity outside chicago, the label/collective Booty Tune in Japan is doing amazing things.

You guys should check out EQ Why, DJ Remi, Jlin, DeeJay Earl, DJ Taye & a lot of the artists in the Teklife collective.

  2. Reviving this~

http://boomkat.com (All sorts, Mainly House/Techno, Also deals with Boutique labels, has indefinite sales on and is main go-to place for most records)

https://bleep.com/ (Warp Record's main outlet for selling their records/CDs, but also stocks most electronic labels worth knowing, inflated pricing but made up for in cheap shipping)

http://www.rushhour.nl (Also All Sorts, But great for Techno & a lot of Funk/Soul, African music & other music from around the world, Releases Exclusives from time to time, also sells used records)

http://www.mimaroglumusicsales.com (Ran by Keith Fullerton Whitman & Geoff Mullen, a lot of noise, ambient & glitch music as well as many other forms of music of the experimental persuasion, personal favourite)

http://www.experimedia.net (Mainly deals with small Experimental & Electronic labels

but also gets records in from larger labels too like Warp & Hyperdub)

https://www.secondlayer.co.uk/ (Brick & Mortar closed down in 2012, but still does Mailorders out of london, deals with a lot of Experimental boutique labels, a lot of the releases are on small runs too (/100, /400, /1000) Most of the stock is on sale & You'll be able to find some rare stuff if you look)

http://www.normanrecords.com/ (Sells most releases on fairly prominent indie labels as well as a lot of boutique labels too)

http://lightintheattic.net/shop (predominantly sells reissues and folk/experimental/psych/soul/funk/rock compilations from the 60s/70s/80s alongside their own excellent releases, stocks a lot of movie soundtracks also)

http://www.forcedexposure.com/ (Big Big list of labels, mainly boutiques but wide selection of music)

http://www.midheaven.com/ (Go to place for a lot of record labels, usually stocks everything contemporary)

http://www.amoeba.com/ (You should already know about amoeba, big big big selection of everything, used and new)

These are my favourites, but if you're really searching for that one record, I'd highly recommend discogs.

  3. I much prefer fuck button's new release to the oneohtrix album. I read some comments that were on point, its just too all over the place. The sound and fresh direction it takes music is awesome, maybe it'll grow on me.

It feels like a more refined version of James Ferraro's Far Side Virtual and perhaps not as thematically invested as it, but it's a lot stronger because of it, atleast to me. The ADD-like progression is refreshing too, It's gonna be a tough wait to get the LP though.

Anyways, I've been listening to this, got a mega soft spot for 70s Moog music.
