: ) thank god we don't have death penalty!
it's forbidden to drive with shoes not closed at heels, for safety reasons, just to clarify.

"A rugged leather sandal" Surely a contradiction in terms?
Now that I think you're definitely right!
Anyway I can't find a better way to describe what I meant in English, which is not my primary language!

Cheap trifted shirt
Awfully cheap waistcoat
Red cloud
Chuck's just found yesterday at my parent's house, I think i bought them in 1995/1996!

Yesterday I had the first saturday off work in a long time, and I took the chance to be a little active and wear the redcloud 425h which i am breaking in at the moment, with mucho satisfaction! In the morning I woke up with a lovely hangover and went out for a walk with the wife in the country side and the woods around my house to pick some wild chicory, a great hangover cure!
In the afternoon I went out for a walk at the beach, enjoying the very first whiff of spring for this year!
Here enjoying the sea and the hairyness of the denim at the same time!
And here's what I had for dinner, the real deal!
A perfect neapolitan style pizza as you can't get outside of Italy!

thanks for the insight guys. I am from Italy myself but haven't heard yet about those Eder, and they don't look any special time, just about the same plain vanilla stuff I could get in markets and shops over here. Rainbow look nice too but I need no flip flops but a real sandal closed at the heel as for Italian laws it is forbidden to drive a car with flip flops...
What do you guys think about mexican huarache sandals?

I have to say I have a thing for mexican crafts in general..

they're lovely but to be honest I am not going to spend 300 dollars on a pair of flip flops, this is what I am likely going to spend for a pair of boots! for f**k sake!

Hi all
I am currently looking for a new pair of leather sandals for the summer, I'd like to get something rugged that would suit well raw denim, maybe in undyed leather.
Any tips/suggestions? I am not considering Birkenstock or other ugly-but-confortable styles!
look forward to hear your suggestions

Hi all
here's a quick update on my 425's. I've been wearing them for about a week. they did strech back to the former measures, thank God! Look forward to see how will these fade, there's already some slight fading over the hidden rivets, revealing a lovely electric blue color, these are going to be nice!

Ok that's the fit after 5 hours of wear, some walking and some driving.
They're still a little tight but I am confident that they will be fine after a few days of wear!

They came up tight! Feck! However i'll put them on for a few days and see if they stretch back.
No photos now!

I hope they work out for you and do not end up too tight in the top block, fit looks rather snug already
Jeez I hope not! Cold soaking them at the moment, I'll know more in a short while

ok here's a quick fit pic, right out of the box, no soak yet. kinda like the megacuff as well!

that's good to know! Fit pics soon!

jest received the above mentioned 425, they're fantastic! very hairy denim, and stiff like a cardboard! here's a close up of the denim
I have a question for you all, the jeans are a little tighter than what I expected, seen the measurements I found online. they're perfect in the thighs and waist as per now, with no soaking. I fear they could get too tight after a soak. what should I do? A 10 min cold water soak? no soak at all?

I have proxy-ed a pair of 425 a while ago, they are stuck at Italian customs at the minute.. oh boy the wait is killing me...the parcel left China 7 days ago, and after three days it was already in Italy. I wonder how long will it take to receive it..

hello there
I am looking for suggestions to get a pair of raws with these specs:
top block slim but not too much, medium rise, with a nice taper on the bottom.
this kind of cut works well for me. I have a pair of well loved Edwin ed67 with multiple repairs, which are getting close to retirement. I'd like to replace these with something a little more high quality.
What do you think?

Well, in fairness these are all 240!
244 is the 2 door model
244 is the 4 door sedan (or saloon as you call them in UK)
245 is the 5 door wagon
from 1975 to 1985 they were sold as different models, from 1986 to 1993 they were all 240. Generally speaking they are all 240 though!
Glad you like my "baby"!

I also have a 1993 240 wagon, but my wife drives it, so it's a complete mess, nicks and dings everywhere!
