No the 50s fit hasn't changed a single bit. I am wearing a second pair of 50s now and they fit exactly the same as my old pair. Ryo updated the chart and made some mistakes on the waist measurements. All the other measurements are sound. he said he was going to fix that, I will give him a wee gentle nudge.

I like the wife part of it, I can relate to that. My wife thinks the jeans all look the same so I only have to be extra cautious with the couriers/pickups. Also, recently I've done a lot of skype music lessons that get paid on paypal, I am trying to keep a paypal credit emergency fund for the under the radar shopping. Tcb uses a specific denim for each repro jean model they make. The fabric is made to reproduce the features of the original fabric. So WW2 denim is still unknown territory. the contest pairs will be the very first batch tcb will make.

the 50s rise hit my belly button, and Hajime said these are going to be a higher rise than 50s. let's wait to see the charts. Japanese body frames are a bit different too. Anyway, I know that rises can't never be high enough and jackets won't ever be short enough

don't be fooled by Japanese sizing. I am 6 KG more than Ryo and about the same height and wear a 42 in a number of tcb tops, while he wears a 44. I mean if you want a looser fit go for whatever you want, otherwise most likely your tcb 50s size will work out fine.

Dude, I really wanted to not buy the jacket myself and put some wear on the 60 jkt first. then I see all of this... By the way, T back from size 40 and size run up to 50 doh! Special prize if we get a big boy ordering a 50! [just kidding]

fit looks quite fitted in the top block. I've asked Ryo to add on the measurements also the hip, hoping it might help to determine whether the seat is voluminous like the 20s or more fitted like the 50s. I'm inclined to think these are much more like the 50s, from the fit pics.

[PIC HEAVY - WARNING: NERD CONTENT] Original vs repro type 1 vs WW2 The shape of the cinch back is different. WW2 one is more squareish WW2 cinch (fabric direction will be amended on the final version) Inner side of the cuffs. The darning width is much wider than normal 1st type. The cuff finish for the 1st type Laurel button vintage It’ll age like the vintage Pink selvedge ID Front pocket. Very high placement of the red tab Misaligned box stitch. We assume this happens because two different people sewed the left and then right based on the mark put beforehand. One sewed upwards based on the mark, the other did the opposite. No other reason sounds reasonable from a view point of jeans maker or American was really nonchalant about the details back then, haha! Another front pocket pic Steel rivet plain on both sides. On the jeans and the jackets, only this type was used. We need to make the steel made one because Japanese makers don’t produce the rivers or buttons that can be easily rusted Rivet on repro

[PIC HEAVY - WARNING: NERD CONTENT] original S501XX, presumably size 28 tcb repro front tcb retro back left back pocket Single stitches on the top left go beyond the pocket At the bottom the of the back pocket, the stitch work is not reall to the edge compared to 501XX. The angles are more subtle, making the pocket look like amateur-finished. Proper stitch work on 501XX, for comparison Front left pocket: done with single stitch Front left pocket: repro ver On the other hand, right pocket done by chain stitch [love this!] right pocket done by chain stitch Belt loop comparison: top 501XX bottom: WW2 (stitch allowance is thinner) Left back pocket comparison: on the bottom left corner the stitch goes beyond the side Another angle Hardwear: steel made laurel wreath for the top. On the file, steel donut buttons( ONE PIECE) Inner side of the crotch, usually the perimeter of the crotch is tucked in for the more beautiful finish but it’s not on The Simplified

Ryo just wrote me this: I was browsing through Sufu and noticed that the fabric direction at the cinch is different from the vintage! Easy mistake but it’ll be fixed on the final products. Thank you to the denim geeks on Sufu, haha! I saw that and checked it myself and yeah the guy is right indeed. I have already told our pattern maker to fix the prob. so thank you @julian-wolf , honorary quality control manager

yes pics coming and it sounds I may be able to open the thread this evening and pre-orders will open shortly after that. Ryo is a trooper, super efficient 24/7. Tcb wants to wait a bit to disclose the patch design so probably the you won't see the patch before pre-ordering. I've seen the first mock up and I can say it's going to be amazing! Fan art at its best really. Asking Nayuta to do this was a great idea.

more tcb-leaks! ■Price Contest Jeans JPY 23,650 Size: 28/29/30/31/32/33/34/36/38/40 WW2 Jacket JPY 25,300 Size 34/36/38/40/42/44/46/48/50 * Free shipping world wide ■Shipping & When exactly the contest starts We ship every contest pair and WW2 Jacket at the mid August. Since Fedex delivery is really stable these days, I think every preordered will have received the jeans/jacket before the end of August. So the contest itself is going to start from 1st/Sep/2020 and will end 28/Feb/22 220 usd shipping included for jeans as per today's exchange 235 usd shipping included for jacket as per today's exchange Hope everyone is happy with that. Usual Tcb pricing, upped only a wee bit for the lottery pockets thing and the donation/sponsoring agreed upon with Superfuture, which I think it's a nice touch and should perhaps become a standard in the future for other contests, seen the exposure Superfuture guarantees to brands and the fact this platform is much more functional than Instagram or other social medias. the 5 usd extra for Sufu wasn't a mandatory request of Sufu admins but we came up with this agreement, because it's nice to be nice and 5 usd won't make a difference to anyone buying a pair of 220 usd jeans. I think the usual tcb value for price it's very much still there. Subscription deadline will be jun 30th, but I will confirm once the pre-order form is ready and we actually open for pre-orders.

morning peeps wee update.. this week I should be able to gather all information and start the contest thread. the contest jeans and jacket will be available upon pre-order. We will state a subscription deadline. First you guys will confirm here your subscription then there will be a specific pre-order form on tcb website, where you can fill up your size/inseam/address/paypal email etc. etc. the jacket will stay out of contest evaluation/prizes BUT it will sport the special patch, same as the jeans, as well.

It will never be short enough uh ?!? I've told Ryo to try and be closer to the original fit and they surely did, compared the the 50s and 30s jackets. It could be shorter but at the end of the day the designer is Hajime and he made it the way he likes it to be made. For the jeans let's wait the sizing chart
  25. volvo240thebest

    TCB

yeah you're right, we need fit pics and some photos of the jeans too. fit pics will be available in a couple days. As Ryo said in the first sample shrank more than expected, now they've dialed up the shrink ratio (the jacket was made after the jeans) and they'll make a second sample which should show the intended fit.
