  1. Anyone know a good place for poplin pants? I like the new dojo pants by isaora but theyre a little out of my budget, i need something more commonly priced. Im about to just make my own over the summer, i love me some poplin.

Also, best tech wear for the warmer summer months? Im looking for good shorts and tees, gonna hit up uniqlo soon...

  2. some how i lost Gotham when i updated Fontcase. if anyone can help me im willing to share some of my typefaces.

Also, what Font Manager do you guys use? like i said im using Fontcase atm, i had Fontexplorer X but fontcase is mush nicer looking and simpler so im trying that now.

    edit: i found my gotham!

  3. Also forgot to mention the customer hat comes into my dept. thinking they know more than the salesman, im in electronics and theres always that 50 yearold guy that thinks he knows everything thing there is to know about tvs or whatever and the erroneous shit that they end up saying is amazing. And then i think to myself, his friends prolly ask him for purchasing advice since he is so confident when talking his bs lol. Im not gonna act like i know everything and some customers have actually taught me a few new things, but thats definitely the exception to the rule

  4. I like how he explicitly mentioned the customers being asians like that has anything to do with it lmao btw im the guy that leaves shopping carts whereever i park.

I also work in retail, nothing really bugs me since im always indifferemt to peoples attitudes but there are things that make me chuckle. I.e. customers complaining about something being out of stock " when it was in the ad/on display". Like they dont understand the concept of things selling out temporarily. They expect us to edit a regional ad to match our specific inventory, and take down all display models so that they arnt mislead into thinking they can buy it. Lol gets me everytime

  5. Im 6'3 and it gets linda awkward standing too close to short people lol

When your about to nod off in public and you do that quick snore/grunt and ppl look at you and you try to act like you were coughing

Also when your shoe or whatever makes the fart noise and then youre like "it was my shoe, see" but you cant replicate the sound again and you look like a dumbass just kicking the floor awkwardly.

  6. is it bad to overcompensate for missed meals? im tyring to get leaner/tighter and not interested in bulking up, say i miss breakfast, which happens more often than naught, is it detrimental to over compensate at lunch or vice versa?

im not taking in excess calories, just making up for what i missed. i live a pretty active life, workout almost daily + basketball etc.

wondering how overcompensating meals will affect my results.

  7. Im a senior. most of my non art classes have been huge lectures or highschool sized lectures, never had a teacher in one of those say i cant use a laptop. The point about which method is better for learning is subjective i think, i personally always end up doodling in my notebooks, ive never been the best note taker and ill be the first to admit it. Im not gonna front like i dont browse sufu and shit while in class but i dont tend to look at notes much till right before an exam and when their typed it makes it alot easier for me to follow.

The point i was trying to make is that most if not all college students own a laptop or a tablet and they are powerful enough to make a note taking more enriched. Like this teacher talking about pygny elephants and if i could just google them there to satisfy my curiousity about it id be good but nah she got me out here wondering what tiny elephants look like. Honestly i think its a hinderance, amd it seems pretentious to think " well im a doctor so im gonna force them to pay attention to me and only me" like at the end of the day its our own grade and its not only kidswith medical reasons that benefitnfrom computer notes. Idk man,

  8. any advice for those of us going to a less than prestigious school for a BFA in GD? i mean i keep telling myself that the work/portfolio is what really counts but i have doubts from time to time. i go to a state college in RI, so finding a job in general in any field is damn near impossible here, much less when im competing for an internship positions against RISD students. i love graphic design, but grad school is not really financially viable for me. im not looking to become an AD in 1 year out of college, i can put in work. so what say you experienced professionals?

also wondering any of you guys from the south? whats the market like over there?
