  1. Big short fan myself will wear them from April through to October if the weather permits.

Current favourite is the RMC US Army Khaki short got a couple of pairs. Nice wide leg fit and decent length just above the knee.

Will try and get some snaps up when the weather improves.

  2. Does anyone have an experience of shopping with Rogues via WorldShipping. I preordered a pair of 224 back in May for delivery late December but looks like they’ve been released and my order still sat doing nothing.

    Feel Rogued.

  3. They seem to have gone through a bit of a rebrand and launched some new styles.

i purchased a pair of the 1122 tapered chino and was probably the worst pair of trousers I’ve had from Japan.

Flimsy creasing cloth used, poorly constructed compared to other brands and they’ve got the fit all wrong, the bum was way too baggy it looked I was wearing a nappy underneath.

  4. I’ve not visited myself but sent my mrs in a few months ago to buy a pair of jeans and she said it was a slightly weird experience. They even told her no returns on jeans.

I’ve noticed there is hardly any email marketing from them anymore, barely any updates on Instagram and the new clothes are available on Fransboone months before they come available at the flagship store, or you can buy them cheaper from End.

Hope they haven’t bitten off more than they can chew as I like them having  a U.K. presence.

And yet I wish Tudor would just make a watch that looked much like that San Martin :laugh2:

They are getting smaller with the new 39mm Tudor options but still too chunky. I wish Rolex would follow suit as well.  Much prefer the size of the vintage models on my wrist.

A pet peeve of mine. I just read a description of a short boxy t-shirt as a 'traditional fit'. Where does this idea come from??? In every pre 1960, & likely pre 1970 photograph or movie example I have come across, t-shirts are worn tight & tucked in. So apparently vintage t-shirts were narrow & long, not short & boxy. Here's a photo of Tyrone Power in 1947 wearing a t-shirt that looks about two sizes too small & it's still long enough to be tucked in (Watch the movie, Nightmare Alley. It's good). So bearing all that in mind what's up with brands charging $100 for too short t-shirts? Is it a case of saving on cost by using less fabric? Opinions welcome...

It’s a good point you make and something I’ve noticed with RMC and Warehouse loopwheel t-shirts they fit ok at first but then shrink in length in the wash even at 30c and the ‘boxy’ fit becomes almost a crop top.

I bought a couple of Jelado loopwheel t’s last time around and they are a longer length which I prefer.

I agree with you lads... they are taking the mickey... so what are we all getting in the new collection then :)

Will probably get some more sweatshorts as lived in those last summer also like the look of the new rugby shirts and the quarter zip sweatshirts.

Military wise the camo print shorts and really like the look of the Type 37J1B jacket.

Hopefully they won’t go on sale for a while as need a few months to recover after buying the new m65 field trousers.

  8. I’ve spent extra on natural indigo in the past with PBJ AI & Full Count and both times been disappointed with how it fades and ages. Probably my least worn jeans.

Anyhow looks like they have sold out in everything smaller than 32” waist so dilemma is solved.

Quite fancy a pair of Boncoura cords instead.

  9. I was planning on getting the anniversary model until you shared the price

Really like the 66 and Z model had a couple of pairs of both over the years but they seem to be turning into more a fashion brand of late. Logos and daft pricing,  it has a whiff of private equity to it all.

I used to get all my Boncoura from alpha shadows. Was wearing my fisherman sweater the other week during the cold snap that I bought from them 50% off a couple of years ago. Thickest woolly jumper ever.

  10. Looking for a little advice on the CPO shirts if anyone owns one.

Am between the 38 and 40, 38 fits very well and the 40 a tiny bit baggy. Just want to know if the wool flannel shrinks at all and how you wash or dry clean yours.

    Thanks

The price hikes are really taking the mickey... set off against general view of quality issues. There is even a tracksuit for £1,136!

100% Nylon as well for the £1,136 tracksuit.

The logo t-shirts look a bit tacky too, they would need to pay me to wear one of them not the other way round.

I've noticed Boncoura has gone a similar way with huge price increases and labels stuck on all the clothing, has put me right off.

I don't consider the JP pricing to be overpriced. It's in line with many other JP repro companies. The pricing abroad is pure rip-off though

Yeah it reminds me of growing up in 90s and buying Nintendo64 cartridges, they saw the UK as treasure island, and we had to pay £60 a game while across the pond in America it was $60 and with the exchange rate at the time it meant we paid almost twice as much as America.

Same thing happens now with RMC.

Yeah I've noticed while the RMC UK store was offline it was cheaper for me to buy my RMC from Fransboone in Holland and pay for shipping than it was to get the tube in to town from my part of London and buy it from the outpost at Clutch Cafe.

Nice to see the new online shop open and purchased a couple of items myself but they certainly do like charging us in the UK the most for their products.

  14. I haven't got anything by them yet but its a brand that does interest me. Look to make some classic timeless pieces. Had my eye on this jacket but looking at the sizing I think i need a 38" and Fransboone is out of stock. https://www.fransboonestore.com/collections/studio-dartisan/products/orgueil-or-4087-workers-coat-green  also like the look of the button down chambray and cords they do both look very smart. According to the write up on the leather jackets they use only the finest cowhide the pics of the sport jacket in black look rather nice.

  15. I have a good selection of RMC no jeans but lots of loopwheel and other stuff and it’s been mixed for me.

My loopwheel sweatshirt started to wear out in the elbows on both sides after about 2 years of regular wear and washing. My loopwheel sweatpants lasted about 18months before the fabric just beneath the pockets on both sides started to wear thin. My loopwheel hoody has a weak point around the front pouch stitching and small hole starting to develop and that is only a year old.

I’ve had better success with the suvin gold non loopwheel sweater and the ball park zip parker I bought first has outlasted most the loopwheel stuff. The athletic loopwheel t-shirts have also worn and washed well keeping their shape but they are relatively new so time will tell.

My favourite bits are the ball park waffle knit long sleeve henley’s got them in grey, white and black and they are worn every day in the colder months and seem pretty bullet proof. My double diamond chinos I’ve had for years and still going strong, just wish they would make them again as fancy another pair and had no problems with my Field Sports Jacket that has lasted a good few winters so far.

If we paid the prices they charge in Japan I wouldn’t have a problem but when your buying this in the U.K. with the heavily marked up prices it makes you think twice about waxing the best part of £500  again on a sweatshirt and sweatpants that don’t last anywhere near the life time they claim.

  16. I'm a 32 and went for the size 32 and they fit in the waist fine a bit tight but i imagine they will stretch been one wash and the leg opening ain't that bad but in the thigh they are just vast. Thinking I should have gone for the 606 orange tab. Never mind i'll wear them when I decorate my flat soon.
