  1. any suggestions on jeans which fit similar to the evisu 2000? I've been wearing repro cuts for the longest time before this evisu pair I am wearing. I like the fit of the 2000s but the rise could be a little higher. I can't go too slim as it looks odd with the boots I wear. I have been thinking of getting the flathead 3005s but it seems that these have a small waist so I have to size up and the hem is wider than the 2000s. Any suggestions? Maybe the resolutes ww2 would work? or the warehouse denime jeans?

  2. @Jared_Lee My first choice was also the lot 2001. I have an unworn pair of no.1 2001s which are size 38. The waist is 34 or 35 raw but the all its other measurements is for a 38 so it looks comically big when worn. With the lot 2000 pair I am wearing the measurements was a lot closer to the ones Evisu JP indicated.

  3. thanks guys! the jeans are great and it was a fun year of wearing them. I did not have to do any big repairs except for patching up the pocket bags due to my pocket knife and changing the waist button since it rusted and tore the fabric holding it. I just went to @Signet and took home a Warehouse 2010 ww2 cowboy jacket. Its too warm where I am at to wear at the moment but it looks great!

Apparently it is from CSF but it’s some new 13.5oz denim. I got my pair from The Signet Store, they have an active thread on here so you could contact them directly. Here is the link to the item on their webstore: https://thesignetstore.com/products/wwii-jeans?variant=31991943987283

plenty of sizes, they also have the WW2 type 1 jacket, just wish they had it in a larger size.

thanks! I will reach out to them

Hiya @mousemouse they’re a good straight leg cut with plenty of “classic” CSF stitching. I should wear mine more.

Hi Toegun, would you know if the fabric is also from CSF as well? I missed my chance getting a pair of one piece of rocks some time ago and was wondering if these would give me the same satisfaction as a real 'CSF' pair, for lack of a better term :D

My 1001 pair in a W33 L32, gladly shrank another inch in length and somewhat at waist after a second 40 °C  / 104 °F wash. They came up 31ish from a original 34" inseam.

great! I need my pair to shrink so hopefully mine loses another inch or so. I just hope it doesnt shrink after the 5th wash or so lol. thanks!

  7. My 1946 warehouse jeans are just about ready for a wash. I'd just like to ask if warehouse denim shrinks continuously the first few washes? I experienced this with my sugarcane 2009 and 1966 jeans which I had hemmed after washing once but ended up a little too short after a few washes. Can you guys please share your experiences with warehouse?

One could argue why they put a size on them to begin with. So the other dimensions are true to the size chart? What did you do with them and when did you receive them?

The legs and all the other measurements are correct (based on the chart) for the size 38, but the waist is for a size 34-35 so I will have to endure a muffin top when I decide to wear them. My pair is still raw.

  9. The measurements of the current 2001s in no.1 denim is off by a lot. I received a size 38 and the waist is 35.5 raw while the thigh, legs and other measurements are correct based on the website. I have a 2001 in no.1 denim also from around 2012 in size 34 and the waist started bigger than my current size 38. I don't know why evisu sizing is this inconsistent.

Could have been me, historically SC-MiA were never up to SC-MiJ quality.. some folks used to think the old MiA cords were fake they were that bad but this was 10 maybe 15yrs ago, things change, staff change, the recent offerings from the last few years look top notch to me.

Hmm my Sugarcanes have been fine but in 2013 I bought my first pair of SCs (2009s) in Take 5 Hong Kong and got one with a Made in USA patch instead of the usual "toughest denim". I emailed this to toyo and they ended up sending me the correct patch which I never used and some magazines and a bandana. Maybe some processes were done in Japan and then finished in the USA?

  11. Hi everyone, I'm planning my next pair and I am leaning towards Warehouse, I just have a few things to clear as they have plenty of models and confusing model codes.

    1. I have an old lot 800 with the 14.5 oz denim in size 33 which is a bit snug on me now. The thighs are the main problem so I am planning on going with the 1000 or 1001 in 34. The lot 1000 is a 40s cut (more straight, loose) while the 1001 is a 50s cut (a little tapered). Is this correct?

    2. On the fabric, I know there is a 14.5 oz stock denim, cotton linen,13.5 oz banner denim, then the dead stock blues (lighter blue, seems to fade faster), and DD fabric. I am more interested in the DSB and DD fabric, can you guys please share which do you prefer between the 2? Or is any of my info wrong?

    3. What's the difference between the stock 1000 or 1001 models vs. 25th anniversary pairs released last year?

    thanks guys!

In general - yes they stretch and yes they shrink as well in the washing machine. I only have Merz loopwheeled shirts though.

one other thing - 3 cm in shoulders isn’t as bad but 4 cm in the chest(which comes up as 8 cm when doubling)is practically a whole size down.

thanks! I got a replacement which were very close to the measurements on the size chart. This is my first loop wheeled garment and its surprising to see this kind of variation between items. The t shirt feels nice, but not any nicer than shirts I've tried from warehouse, mccoys or whitesville. Maybe this will feel better as it gets worn and washed.

  13. do loopwheeled tees stretch? I bought a trophy loopwheeled tee and it is quite undersized. Chest and shoulder measurements from the size chart in the site showed 54 & 50 cm but the shirt I got turned up to be 50 & 47cm only. Should I expect these to stretch? or would these shrink more after washing?

lol i think i do this a lot now after I started working in food production a couple of years ago. My hands and jeans are almost always oily or full of flour so I wash my hand maybe 20x during work and wipe down my pants. Come to think of it when I was wearing the 47s I didn't have to do this so maybe thats what happened with the fades?

    Jeans all look great @mousemouse

Re- the 66's how did you manage to get such extensive fading to the front with only minor signs of wear to the back?

Hmm I was also wondering about the same thing. My guess is the washing that I did with the 66 pair. On almost all of my jeans I usually wash at about 1 month give or take a few days. On the 66 I tried washing every 2 weeks so these were washed at least 12 times over 6 months. I am stumped on why my pair don't have any honeycombs but the front thigh and side seams are pretty faded. The thing that bothered me about the pair the most though was the color. It constantly reminded me of the cheap levis I used to wear but I like the fit quite a lot. I am currently wearing the Buzz ricksons and another pair so maybe in a years time I can get back to the canes.

@mousemouse Thaaaank you. Lots of good info.

I am super fascinated with the buzz lots, how do you like the 50s cut?

I'm assuming the same type of construction as sugarcanes, but how is the fabric?

I actually like the buzz 50s fit best which was surprising since i only bought it due to it being on sale. I feel the buzz 50s jeans had a nice balance of the features in the 47s and 66s. The waist and hip area have enough room for me and the leg has a small amount of taper. Its a great all around pair of jeans.

I will try to take some photos soon but the fabric doesn't seem to be the same as the sc 47 (darker) or 66 (gray), its a lot more blue.

I know there has been decent discussion on the 1966s throughout this thread, but would anyone mind offering some (more) advice on sizing?

    I wear a 33 in the 1947s.

The 66 fabric is sanforized right? Not much shrinkage?

I'm tempted to get a 33 as well, but I'm assuming they'll sit at a different place on the waist.

    Thanks for the help everyone!

I have pair of the 66s and i think you can get away with sizing down 1 but TTS is fine as well if want a more relaxed fit.  I have the 1947s in 33 and the waist is definitely too tight on me. My 1966 is in 34 and the waist still has slack even if i wear these a bit lower on the hip than the 47s. My 1966 seems a full size bigger than the 50s buzz ricksons jeans im wearing now in the same size. The thighs on the 66s are also quite roomy.

On the shrinkage, i bought mine once washed and i got maybe 1/2 to 3/4 in of shrinkage in the length and some nice roping after putting these on the drier.

ohh to answer how they fade,, theyre slow faders! the colors are really deep and dark but the new one with the G3 denim i think will fade a little faster than their normal fabric

thanks! i will take a look at your site!
