You cheeky cnut! ..in fact i did have a leather belt i got from the vintage shop for a fiver.. fk knows what happened to that? I bought some CK chinos from Ryan's Vintage a few months ago for £6.. they're a size 36 and i'm a size 32 but i really like the volume.. they only have small loops hence the need for a slim belt.. i've been wearing an old canvas belt to hold them up which belongs to my missus.. that's 30yrs old so i'm sure this will hold up my pants till i'm old and grey... or older and greyer

Ha!.. i didn't know it was English till i opened it, (i didn't look) i've had some ¥¥¥s in my proxy wallet from past Mercari purchase cash-back and a few bits and bobs stored that i couldn't justify the shipping costs for.. needed a slim belt, looked on Yahoo.. din't find owt, looked at Junky and that was exactly what i was looking for.. measured the size and the cash-back almost paid for it I haven't worn a belt for nearly 15yrs, I think the last one i bought was a SC Garrison sometime around 2006.

I got this belt from Junky ..i needed a slim belt.. this fits the bill perfectly and it wasn't expensive.. first time i've bought any clothing from JP for 6.5yrs I don't really know much/anything about the leather but it should age nicely
  4. Well done G^ ..kid's growing up! I've dug 8 tonnes of clay out of my raised bed.. from this ..to this ..I've ordered a load of green oak, i'll get it delivered to work, cut it to size and partially build it, dismantle it, take it home and re-build it in the garden.. it's easier than having to take all my tools home.. it'll look something like this.. i called up to Albion Timber on Saturday to buy a larger board of oak for the flip down seats a green oak wall.. incorporating a raised bed and a seating area.. around the oak will be gravel soakaways.. french drains and such ..up top will be a green oak pergola.. stood on staddle stones.. paved with Yorkshire stone in the bottom and planted out with climbers and a clover bed up top RMC.. It used to be white I've still got a leak in the outside toilet.. 3 months and counting, Yorkshire Water came out again but 'couldn't gain access to the property' because some idiot had left a plywood ramp for their wheelbarrow on the step.. the broken stop cock is here ..but they couldn't manage to get by?.. or even move the ramp out of the way.. i can lift it with one finger.. one fkin finger! ..fkin useless fks!
  5. My kid has been wearing States/Suedes for 5yrs straight (i'm pretty sure they've all been documented here) those bred AJ1s he got for xmas are still minty fresh (he'll be growing out of them soon ) cos he always reaches for his Pumas.. I had a Adidas Campus and Superstars phase (or any style which leant itself to fat laces ) i always liked the little toebox poking out of wide hems.. but i was never a massive fan either.. some of my friends wore Samba when i was a kid.. i fkin hated those things! I'm still wearing the 'Adidas Tennis' to play tennis.. for a retro shoe they've been comfy as.. the leather is really supple
  6. ‘Tis true.. Puma Suedes were imports, you could still get them tho.. I bought a pair from 20th Century Clothing in 88.. isn’t that how the lads from Hip in Leeds got started? One of them spotted a box of States in Debenhams, asked the assistant if they had anymore sizes? ..they said they had loads of boxes in the stockroom all DS which they’d had for years and never managed to shift.. obviously not a Debenhams customer vibe.. they made a deal with the manager to take the lot and it was their first introduction to clothing retail. The Borgs are still expensive, they’re still made in Italy.. I was having a look last night and they’re £179 at some fashion shops.. but I also had a look around the pokey old tennis racket shops and they still have old (un-hyped) stock for £44 ..re Green Flash, I wouldn’t have worn them as a kid either but I would now, they do have a retro-coolness unlike Gola.
  7. There hasn't been much (if any?) talk of Diadora in this thread.. anyone ever had a pair? I never have but i remember seeing a pair of the white/gold Borg Elite when i was around 6yrs old and my jaw hit the floor.. astounded at the gold, gold tennis shoes! I don't think i'd ever seen gold on a pair of trainers before.. gold was cool af according to the 6yr old me It will always remain in my mind as a key sneaker moment.. along with seeing the air bubble for the first time in a pair of AM1's or seeing the watch in a pair of Micropacers or the pump of a Reebok Pump or the Torsion bar of the Adidas Torsion.. Although amazed (some say easily) Micropacers, Torsion or Pumps were never my vibe, i couldn't afford them and even if i could, i would'av bought somethong else.. AM1's on the other hand i'd have given my right arm fo... a fk'it.. both my arms! ..anyway back to Diadora, those Borg's still look cool af!
  8. How it tended to work for me when I was a school kid.. my folks would always fork out for new pumps when my old ones were hanging off my feet.. I never had to wear a school uniform so my pumps were worn all day, everyday... but my folks would only buy basic shit and if I wanted cooler shit I would have to put the extra money towards myself.. I used to get £.2.40/wk for wiping the pots after tea, I’ve had a Saturday job from the age of 13 which paid £8/wk and I had my sideline selling homebrew to alcoholics who hung out in the cricket pavilion.. so in effect if I wanted Puma States, Champion.. ect I would need to earn £20 to put towards the £20 my folks were willing to spend...
  9. Agreed^ Id put Gola on a similar par to Hi-Tec.. I always considered them the lowest common denominator/Windsor’s World of Shoes kinda vibe.. Don’t get me wrong.. I don’t think you need to spend big to get cool pumps.. Dunlop Green Flash for instance can be had for peanuts and have a much cooler vibe.. The dudes wearing Gola when I was at school weren’t necessarily poor kids who couldn’t afford Adidas or Nike they were just kids who didn’t give a shit about their footwear.. and not because they were too cool to care
  10. My neighbour sent this little film to me yesterday
  11. There was a massive downpour yesterday afternoon so i had to bag it off.. this morning my hole was akin to a small pond.. The waterlogged earth now weighs 10x as much! I had a terrible nights sleep.. my body aches in places i never knew existed.. i'm not used to proper work.. woke up early with a hangover. Zero ammount of planning went into this landscaping project.. i'd borrowed a spade from my neighbour and an old wheelbarrow from Pat, my mums friend, jesus, it was a piece of shit!.. the bucket detached from the frame after 3 trips to the skip so this morning i went down to work, got some ply and some redwood to make a longer ramp.. also made a ramp to go down the steps from the path to the pavement... swung by Wickes when it opened and bought myself a new barrow.. a Chillington Camden Classic no less. Pat's barrow is on the left I'll take it to work next week and repair it for her.. at least she can still use it for light gardening work... I didn't really want to buy a new wheelbarrow, once this shiz is done.. the fk am i going to do with it? Neighbours daughter has been banging out The Doors which has been a treat.. I'm down to the clay layer.. fkin nasty No wonder underfoot was like Glastonbury .. I've filled half of an 8 tonne skip today, it doesn't sound like much but i'm digging out solid clay, filling a barrow, walking down the path, through the gennel, down the next path, turn a corner.. down another path, down some steps to the pavement.. up the street, up the ramp and into the skip.. I layed on the grass at 4pm and fell asleep .. the rain hitting my face woke me up.. pfft! Having a beer.. not drinking from 3pm , i should avoid another hangover tomorrow Hopefully Hitoshi Tsujimoto doesn't ban me from his Instagram.. My repairs are holding up pretty well
  12. ..or sell them to the Star Wars reenactors
  13. When i got up this morning Lenny and his stoopid mate Monty where both in the hole i dug having a waz.. what the hell! .. it's not a giant litter box.. you're not lions! Huf! remind me again why we have cats? ..anywho! I got the camellia out.. jeez louise.. the root bowl weighed a tonne but i managed to lug it over their wall and wrapped the root with a garden fleece and wet it down.. Nice surprise for them when they get back tomorrow.. cost you £400 at the garden center Mr Rubble delivered my skip.. i paid for 5 tonne but they only had 8 tonne.. y'know this karma shit actually f'kin works! The difference in price between those sizes is £60 so i gave the delivery dude a few beers..
  14. The FC wasn't the article in question @mondo ... it's still cold enough to wear it under a denim jacket, so the hole isn't an issue. The rolling FC was just a word of caution, IE was considering buying a new sweat and cropping the sleeves.. lot's of examples of crop sleeve sweatshirts which don't roll and some crop sleeve sweatshirts which have been cropped then cuffed.. are the cuffed versions made from a fabric which has a propensity to roll and the cuff is there to stop it happening? .. who knows? potentially you could buy a sweatshirt, crop the sleeves and end up with 2 giant polo's at the top of your arms.
  15. Here are some of the Buckweat images i harvested from kamediaclub's PB account and transferred to my Flickr account before the great photofuckit fire.. ..ignore the tabs
  16. I've already spent those funds hiring a skip.. Such is life
  17. I've been digging some earth from one raised section.. and shoveling it to the next raised section. Exhausting!.. I don't know how Fred West did it? ...also being a kind soul, my (botanist) neighbour Mary has always admired the^ large camellia at the top of our garden so i've carefully excavated under the root bowl and i'm going to plant it in her garden In the nature of the thread.. i was wearing McCoys 003 I'll be filling the skip tomorrow... eventually i'm going to build a green oak pergola on the top section and a seating area on the bottom section.. i'll try to incorporate those vintage brass flip down seats i reclaimed from that doctors surgery which i used for the narrow boat project.
  18. This is just littered with mistakes!.. he was called Paul not Dave!.. and they became too small after my middle-aged growth spurt You've narrowly avoided detention because.. it was also a pleasure
  19. "Edited to insert light hearted emoji" This is what i should have done..

  21. I found this memorial to Mr Claypole recently.. what a tragedy! http://www.cheesebrush.com/MrClaypole
  22. In the interest of balance we should take a closer look at the people making the accusations, i would never condone victim blaming but this could be their fault.. @JohnM for instance.. i'm not sure how old this guy is but he sounds like a typical zoomer.. I bet he was making a TikTok or taking selfies while Roy was trying to engage him in friendly repartee, easily triggered by Roy's unwillingness to partake, he's taken to the internet to get him cancelled.
