What do you want to know, I have the 511s in Samurai's Japanese Organic Cotton.

So it's probably been about a year of rotational wear for my S511SJC-AI.  Probably ordered a size smaller than I should have so I'm looking at my first possible crotch blowout.  Lovely jeans otherwise, but probably going to retire these for a bit until I bother to send them along with a few other pairs to get repairs. I'm fairly certain these are rope dyed which is why I'm actually getting fades on these as opposed to my PBJ AI-003.

A bit of a teaser, been wearing my S511SJC-AI daily since first week of December.  Wondering if these are actually Hank dyed as they are actually fading unlike my PBJ AI-003.

My S511SJC-AIs should be arriving Monday.  What do you guys want to see?

Edit: Turns out that I have been looking at the S710BK17oz-II (lot 20) last winter when some sizes were still in stock at Denimio; it strikes to me as rather peculiar that the lot 17 would now suddenly make a reappearance but on 2nd's inventory the 2 models are clearly separate (lot 20 out of stock in my size).

I'm a size 30 in my 20th anniversary 710s, 31 in the Denimio 710s, and went with a 29 for my S710BK17oz-II.

Is my memory terrible or does the 20th Anniversary 16oz feel completely different from the Denimio 16oz?  Aren't they both supposed to be the same Geisha fabric?

I prefer raw when possible.  However if a OW pair that I want goes on sale, the fact that it's OW doesn't factor into my decision making process.

Can anyone comment on how slim the S511xx cut actually is compared to PBJ and SDA slim tapered?  Okayama Denim called it a slim tapered but based on the measurements it appears to be more of a slim straight.  I've decided to get the S511SJC-AI and am wondering if I'll need to get them tapered to get then close to the PBJ and SDA slim tapered cuts I'm used to.  I have a couple pairs in the 710 cut that I got to work by sizing down and getting tapered by Railcar.

Does anyone have experience with Samurai's home grown cotton?  Saw a lot of discussion but doesn't look like anyone has actually gotten a pair yet.

Fyi i already have 2 entrysg tees i bought 6 months ago.

For me its very good, high quality tee. They fit pretty nice on me (5'5 70kgs size L) but the collar is really tight , have to stretch it a bit everytime i wear it but its shrink back after wash. Surprisingly after countless washes i have yet found any hole or discoloration (i used it a day everyweek so have to wash everyweek too) meanwhile my barns and samurai got a hole after several washes.

 

I would say so comparing it to the regular loopwheel SDA t shirt.  The Suvin Gold is very  smooth and has a very soft hand compared to the slubbiness  of the fabric they use for their loopwheeled border t shirt.  Both are closer to sweatshirt thickness than t shirt in my opinion.  They are both much better quality than the kamikaze attack loopwheeled t I had. Also bit thicker than the Merz henley I just got.

Cardigan is perfect for spring and feels almost like cashmere.

Sounds like the 16oz ones use the Geisha denim, a nice option for anyone who missed the Denimio collabs.

PBJ x OD 20th anniversary details released.  The denim sounds fun, the superslub of the 18oz and the sharp contrast from double indigo.

^ those. Clarification: top button doesn't button, but that's mainly due to the fact that the button is very hard to put on in general

I also just got these and ran into the same problem. Button and unbutton them a few times without wearing them and it should stretch the buttonhole out enough.

Danny, what about the AI -003?

AI-003 is slim tapered like xx-011/12/13, believe you're thinking of the AI-001 for regular straight or AI-002 for slim straight.

How are you guys sizing your Denimio x Samurai collabs?  I'm a size 30 in PBJ xx-012 and also decided to go with a 30 in Samurai after comparing the BiG measurements for both and also reaching out to Denimio.  However I'm a little worried about the BiG measurements and can't seem to find any info about how much shrinkage to expect from the Geisha fabric.
