  1. i forgot to check back on this but sorry for the blank @conqueror. my trip slowly got pushed away from that jun/july date but i've booked a week's trip in mid-oct. still haven't exhausted that list yet and keen to check the new dotcomme space. paging: david or anybody else in town for a catch up ~. anyone a round ball fan, i'm keen to watch Honda make his league debut in a derby whilst i'm there...

  2. i'm halfway (was at the time of writing) through my 12-day trip and been getting the hang of the explorations. it's so far been a blast. figured i'd share (at the bottom) some other joints that a friend shared with me which was mega helpful.

~ NGV was sick, you could lose track of time and spend hours there. i actually preferred the AU over the INT whilst I was there.
~ i felt a bit more indulgent for one dinner so i gave Supernormal a shot. The waiting and cooking staff were both super with the service and really accomodating. The hook feature hidden underneath the bar counter was a touch of class for jackets or bags.
~ stayed over a friend's in Footscray for a couple days and touring the town centre in the mornings was great - diverse characters and that.
~ onto that list, i'd give shout outs to Sun Moth and Patricia's, the latter by far over and above my favourite.

enjoyed it very much. jun-july ish trip in the mix probs, hmu.

  4. cop a honda cub

yo i did think about them when i had a moment of consideration for vespas. but at least from what i found, they don't do them here. they're only imported into Australia as use by the postal office for their posties that whizz around the 'burbs. gut feeling is that scooter market's too small. which is a bummer, the things that some people do to their cubs look dope.

  5. i figured i'd get a decent consensus here.

i need to get transportation for 25 minute walk from bus stop to home on those late nights. don't mind walking it some days but, some days you can't be fucked. there is uber, or yeah i could drive or i got a bmx (can't be fucked with a lock) but i'm trying to be cheap as possible.

some used black penny board for $20. i'd probably chuck it in a bush otw and come back for it otw home.

but..are penny boards wack or only because of the general crowd toting them around?

  6. yo sschad, seems like you're the sandal extraordinaire round here.

need some subtle sandals with a rubber footbed for walking loads, summer. needs to take a beating.

teva vs suicoke? whats the diff.

whats my options (looking on yjp).

  7. (paraphrasing) howl, the shit you wrote on tumblr about your last tinder girl, was very fucking cringe inducing...take a step back and really think about how you present yourself to these women. you're acting like every single interaction is as important to them as it seems to be to you. this will never be true. you need to learn the appropriate level of contact.

tbh im not much for internet bullying, im sure howls a nice guy. and who hasn't scoped a chick's facebook profile or something after you got a name or whatever. i do think the thinking aloud and then relaying it to a complete stranger is a recipe for disaster.

    yo, point taken.

it was just me being the only way i do know how to be, a bit too straightforward/candid (right word?). i guess that if i had wanted to be that candid or sincere, i should have manned up and said something when i ran into her initially. it was probably wrong to gauge a probable reaction by imagining how i would take it if someone had said something similar to me irl or on tinder - of course, i'd be thrilled. so you're right, i can't level that same expectation.

no doubt, its something i have to grasp.
