jesus. if anyone needs to know how a denim fades, throw them at Max Power for a few months and see
Look great.
BTW, anyone know whats up with Japan-Holic? Their site seems to be down and some splash page shows up talking about claiming the domain or some bullshit. Was hoping to get a pair from them..

the stitching quality on those puts most Whites (and maaany Vibergs) to shame!

post a pic Volvo. I love my Trickers. Im not as into the uber brogueing like on the Stow as I once was, but my Eton's are a bit toned down. Im really eyeballing the black cordovan Trickers x Superdenim but I have no real need for them at the moment

btw, what are the traditional 1920's characteristics? Meaning, what is a 1920's jean?

hey guys/gals, are there any places on the web that allow for better description of how the different samurai cuts compare to eachother in terms of fit? kind of like how there's that one APC fit guide that compares the different [obnoxiously uninformatively] named fits to eachother? i know the first page of this thread was very good (i loved it), but do we think it's time for an update? or is it still pretty much completely accurate? (e.g. i couldn't find S711 on there before buying a pair, myself).
check out beautiful_freak's fit guide

As a general rule, Japanese websites are completely terrible. Mostly because they're designed to work on Japanese flip-phones from ten years ago, but also because Japan seems to be completely lacking in decent web designers...
The 2ND website, for example, is probably the ugliest, most useless website I've ever seen. Too bad they're the only shop that stocks everything from Flat Head and Samurai.
pants shop ave is pretty miserable as well

I mean, honestly ive washed them a bunch, every 2-4 weeks. Probably as much as most warehouse owners!
I think it's all in the streaks, it gives them depth. I love all kinds of blue but I don't like when they look flat (to me) like TCB, etc. I've seen older flat head pairs that don't have the streaks and I didn't like them as much either.
Those jeans are still way better than anything else you see walking around and also much better than jeans that are never washed, but for me if I'm going to wear only one pair to wear for years at a time it has to be one where I'm blown away by how they look after that time, and I'm just not with Warehouse (and most other brands!)
But it's no surprise a lot of people do like them a lot. For me it's like a denim opportunity cost, I got to get the most value for my time!
*sharpens pitchfork, looks up itsbenhere's address***
All jokes aside, TCB jeans really need to be worn to see how special they are. I wont bore you with big words and comparing the subtle details to a fine wine or any of that bullshit. When I first got the TCB contest jeans, they were everything I wasnt interested in at the time. Same with the OOE contest jeans. They were flat, kinda dull and no texture. But as they wore in, and subtle slubs started to show up and this texture and depth started to develop, thats when it really gets special. Warehouse is the same way, at least the 415's (aka 700) that I owned. If I didnt out-fat them, I would imagine they would be very special now. But looking at them online is only so exciting. Like most special denims, the real excitement is touching and wearing/

so he says all the skilled sewing jobs went over sea's, yet there are a handful of made in USA brands thriving. Sounds like he just had no idea what the fuck he was doing

haha. for the record. I only asked about BiG because they carry every single one of those brands listed. Im a luddite when it comes to knowing who carries what so in my feeble mind BiG was the only place to get those brands in the US. But it def. wasnt to point fingers or stir up shit, I was just curious if it was a collective complaint or one big player doing the complaining (pun intended)

Harls, what size did you go with? Can you post measurements by chance?

i think theres a level of variability in this kind of thing that you are best to just accept. Leather is skin, so yea maybe that cow got fat haha. That said, they look unworn so an exchange is a valid option if you think it will bug you. But it will get to a point where they are so worn in and patina'd that this will not matter one way or another.

haha thats awesome

if they had a size 34, I would probably bite the bullet. but alas...

Im going to ask bluntly, but this is purely speculation on my part: Did BiG complain about them? I ask because they carry all of those brands.

this last page represented denim lust and gluttony at its finest! Well done everybody.

the 2060 is just glued to the mid. If the crepe sole is glued as well, its just a rip off and replace job. In these situations, just about anyone can do the job, but some cobblers slack on letting the glue set long enough or they dont spread it evenly about. But if your guy isnt a buffoon, it should be ok.

Was it western or workshirt? Was it from the normal line or the "wide" line?
They have over 7 different fits which their long sleeve shirts are made from.
Workshirt, workshirt wide, western, western wide, RJB shirts, denim shirts, and sometimes their special Glory Park shirts.
well, at least when someone challenges the statement that they are particular about their clothes, they can back it up!

great landscape up there Spitfiredealer. what area in the UK is that? Looks like Downton Abbey haha

Doesnt member named Hemi work with them? Or did at one point? Those look nice and clean. Stitching is much better than many White's and Viberg's I have seen lately.
