so, anyone know who is behind the brand? I also didnt doubt the quality, but I did question the method of the hype campaign. Im still curious as hell. So, who is Tanuki?

yea, I always thought they shrank from tag? I mean, the measurements should be accurate of course but a tagged 34 doesnt seem odd that it measures 32 in TCB-land

No need for an appointment, just come in and drop them off anything. Please make sure they've been washed within the past couple of weeks.
how often do people try to drop off their nasty never washed jeans for a repair?

Ed, whats up with your engineers?

sucks man. get that darned before it explodes.
Ive been in Costa Rica for the last 10 days, so no jeans for me. I dont understand how the SE Asian brotherhood does it in the humidity.

great pics foxy.
That denim looks really nice. seems to have some texture and rough irregularities. I second Volvo's request for your opinion

Gnomes, I think your comment is spot on and I have just one question: you wrote their sales pitch is ridiculous - and if I look at BOW's introduction of the brand and denimhound's review, I know what you mean. But I do wonder how much of this is actually their intention. Their Instagram and look book are significantly less blown out of proportion in regards to self praise. I mean, sure the language in the look book is so flowery at times that you feel like Dorothy from the wizard of OZ falling asleep amid a vast field of deadly, scarlet poppies. But Tye wife of the owner of DC4 who is Japanese told me that this happens pretty much all the time with translations from Japanese to English.
Ed will probably call me a corrupt SUFUcker (I don't have a blog and my forays into social media have been hindered by my inability to use media and the fact that I'm not that social), but that's my 2 cents.
you very well could be right. I read the denimhound blog and thats where im getting this from.

Had a longer post typed out and deleted it by accident.
Here's a summary:
- everyone here is a shithead mother fucker to some degree
- I still chafe at Tanuki's "next level" Kickstarter-esque sales pitch. It's too much branding, not enough proven product. Trying to be the Denim Illuminati. The fuck is that?
- Im sure the denim is fine, I will probably never buy a pair (even now that I know they have a straight cut)
- I have found all that I want in denim in Full Count, Warehouse and Ooe and TCB and i dont feel the need to sow my seed so to speak with other brands.
- I do appreciate those taking the time to shine some light on the product. SuFu should be a resource, so thanks

I definitely like reigning champ, solid construction and there hoodies are a good size imo, thinking of getting another to go with my two I have now. Not sure if their t-shirts are loopwheel though.
i have a hoody and sweatpant and I really like them as well.

i wasnt aware they even had a "normal" cut. Cool, looking forward to the review!

I have used Bulldog laces in the past to replace all the garbage laces that come with some boots. I have had a pair on my Whites Oxfords since I got them a 3-ish years ago

I will stand behind this statement by saying those are the worst cuts I have ever seen. a pre soak size 36 has a 39" waist and a laughable 10.5" rise.

@gnomes maybe try the 170. we seem to be about the same built and i wear 170 in tezo tees. they stretch a bit.
im actually warming to the fit of the t shirts. 170 would likely be too short for me.

all are size 175, and all are more or less the same
Shoulder: 18"
Back length: 26.5-27"
Chest: about 40"
after a cold wash hang dry and then quick tumble to get rid of the wrinkles once dry
Shoulder: 17"
Length 26"
Chest 39"
I suspect they will stretch back out as the fabric is stretchy
Overall I like (but not in absolute love) the fit of the shirts. Love the color and texture.

nice, thanks!. Thigh is too narrow for me unfortunately

Finally got my Tezomeya's in today. I returned the 185cm and got 3 175's. Perfect fit. I have an indigo, madder root and undyed. The undyed is amazing, its almost a raw oatmeal color, and the texture on all is nice.

Received my Boncoura 66s in sz34, just thrown in hot bath water for 45 now drying, will post up pics when done.
Pre-soak fit was great, I think they should shrink to a perfect straight leg fit...
Id be interested in some post soak measurements when you get around to it

LOL, pretty sure he'll survive Ed.
Besides, that Flash's "Inside" Conners/Flat Head/Vans outfit. He changes when he steps across the threshold
