  1. A7 is amazing. I would buy that new 28mm 2.0 that is coming out for only $400 something. I have the 35mm 2.8 and its great and super small, although a little slow. the 55mm is great but is larger and 55mm is kind of tight. I heard good things about the kit lens but honestly your photography will be better if you just stuck to one focal length.

  2. Hey I have a dumb/easy question, just could not find the answer...

Do the Veilance Shells (field jacket in particular) fit the same as Arcteryx other shells... theta, alpha, beta ect ect...

I own a Theta in a small and it fits perfect, runs pretty large, while in all their other layering stuff like the Atom LT or Fleeces I am a Medium. Thanks!

  3. I think its a combination of good lighting as Marw said and his style of PP. You could try lowering clarity without making your pictures pasty, then set your highlight and black points in curves. I can't see all his pics because my net is capped but from what I can tell it looks like he sets his highlights quite low. In terms of colours he probably backs of on vibrance more than saturation.

I found Porta VSCO Presets matches it pretty close, here is my attempt at least

  4. ^Agreed, simple but very nicely done :)

I'm sure this question has been asked a thousand times but I just bought my first film camera and I'm having a hard time choosing film. I'm planning to shoot colour and I like the look of the provia 400x but realised they're now discontinued. I have a few on order but does anybody here use that film and what kinda film have you moved onto to get a similar look?

just be careful with slide film its a bitch to get developed.

  5. Can we talk about having a vision, a voice, a consistent design language. I see people's work showcased around my city I find it interesting seeing how photographers approach projects. I guess the same goes for portfolios. I need to get out of this constant cycle of just shooting just to shoot and editing every photo differently.
