Anyone seen a blue or sand (really, grey) Patrician llahma longwing in size 8 or 8.5 US? Checked ebay, yahoo, all webshops that jumped to mind but nada.

Isetan had a size 8 natural and it turned out to be a perfect fit but not really into the color. Unfortunately, I can only swap my 9's for something of equal or lesser value so its either supermarket/yahoo or sell my swap credit to someone here.

If anyone's in Tokyo and wants 64K yen (I cant get cashback so its gotta total near 64K) worth of Visvim gear at a (small) discount, get at me on PM.

Got a pair of grey llama patrician long wings. Look amazing and nice and light but the sizing and material are bizzare. For the leather, to be honest, it doesnt inspire confidence. It feels like someone stapled silk slippers to geta (japanese clog-sandals). The vibram sole makes you feel like you're perched on geta but the uppers are too soft and floppy to provide much support. Almost feels like your foot is going to rip through the upper and slide off. That would be fine since I'm not planing on sprinting around in them but I don't get the impression they will last long getting kicked into curbs and scraped against concrete in daily city life. Its next to impossible to find anything online about the material's durability as well.

For sizing, I got a US 9 (I'm an 8.5 by brannock, 8 on Barrie-last, 8 in clarks). Despite this, they border on too narrow at mid foot and the total shoe is shorter in length than a US 7.5 Barrie-last Alden longwing. They're just a tad too big so I'm taking them back to exchange for either an 8.5 or swap out for some Virgils (although at the moment, there seem to be no grey or blue patricians or sued virgils in 8.5's anywhere in jp so I'm stuck).

As a note, I wish blogs would actually review shit instead of copy and pasting the same hype as every other blog. Shit is useless except for looking at pretty pics. Thanks to everyone who posts actual info.

edit: Thanks for all the tips. Pretty sure I'm going to have to give them up for something else bc of the sizing though. Visvim never seem to have 8.5's in stock.

How is the durability of suede Virgils in inclement weather (planning to get the sand suede ones)? Will they need to be babied or can you stomp around in shit weather so long as they've been sprayed with silicon? My Clarks leak like a civ but as long as they've been agressively sprayed, it seems like they are leaking through the welt, not the suede itself. Thats fine for Clarks because they don't have leather or cork insoles to damage but I want to make sure Virgils can stand up to rain and a few puddles.

I wish Visvim would bring back the kangaroo virgils, really want a light colored pair of tough boots and really dislike the leather on the new Cantors.

Edit: are grizzlies just not available in stores? I went to FIL Harajuku and Isetan and the only pair I saw was on a visiting rep. Should have asked while I was there.

Started on thursday and made it through saturday morning when I crashed in a video box (they've got aisles and aisles of JAV so...). Met an awesome girl Fri night though so I'm going to be positive and attribute that success to abstention - two days is damn long for me. The next day's events convinced me I need that eye of the tiger though so on this. Day 1!

Kind of would need to know where you've been but you could check out the new mens-kan thing in Yurakucho (can't remember name but its right by the station. Have 90% of the fashiony stuff you see on here (WJK, WM, Undercover, Rick etc.).
