What do you like about the 17 oz. zero denim?

 

I am really interested because I too have a pair of the black shadows AND I am still on the fence about these even though I've put as much wear into mine (in approx 3 months). That is: although I love the fit of the 710 cut and these are living up to the fast fading properties Sami's are known for, I am having a tough time liking the soft sweater like weave. I wish they'd calm down and look like denim already.

Can you explain what you mean by soft sweater like weave? I thought I had read the zero denim was pretty rough.

ADH92, I just got these Tricker's longwings in this morning & wore them all day. I'm really happy with them, and Pediwear's service is great.

Break in has been butter with the CXL leather. The arch took some getting used to, but other than that, very comfortable and very well made boots.

Those are White's? They look a little sleeker to me than normal, but it could be the angle (or it could just be me). The pants are great, too.

just a heads-up to anyone who might be interested in an alfred sargent group mto buy - i'm currently speaking to richard of shoehealer fame about the possibility of doing a classic veldt boot in shell (or a shell/scotch grain combination), but on a sleeker last than most veldt boots.

he's at sargent's factory tomorrow and will be making the appropriate enquiries, and i'm off to see him at the weekend to have a look at some of the boots made on the different lasts.

i'll post more information, price-wise and spec-wise, as soon as we know where we stand but am looking at an elegant boot that's more than suitable for crap weather and hard wear...

I would likely be interested in this as well.
