Hi Guys
How are you all?
1 -
Back from a week's holiday hiking around in my Zug grain Snowdons.
These have a faux (stitched through) toe cap which needed a little rewaxing to aid water resistance.

Anyone experienced an issue like this on Alden?
I just got these today and didn't notice that imperfection until I got home. They are a b-width shoe so replacing them would be a pretty long wait :/

C&J, but indeed with oak bark soles.UGH. Damn you, Crat. I'm now on the hunt for balmoral boots. Are those Alfred Sargents? Oak bark is holding up incredibly well it doesn't look too thin at all.

Thanks Somar!
I sized up one from my Momo 0201s and went with a 33. Quite tight at first (I couldn't button the top button) but now they are perfect.
Fit-wise I prefer the Oni's narrower leg over the 0201's. I do however prefer the Momo's slightly higher rise. Oh well, cant have it all.

I don't find the fabric of those sample jeans aesthetically pleasing at all.
Each to their own though.

The quoddys seem to be a softer shoe. Shoes like your Red Wings have a stronger heel cup (fortification round the heel area to keep the foot in place). Those who pronate need shoes with more support to prevent the foot rolling inwards. As the quoddys don't offer sufficient support that is what is happening now. I doubt a re-sole will fix it.
