  1. @beautiful_FrEaK @Broark @Maynard Friedman Help, kind sirs!! Think only 1 of them 7 posts is needed. Some may say even that's too much. Could you clean up please? Thank you.
  2. This. A little peak may - with emphasis on the may - pass muster but, for me, it's tucked under a type 1. 'To tuck or not to tuck' is an age old connundrum. With longer chore jackets where there's no peaking, untucked can be ok imo. However if the shirt is super long, we're getting into dress territory.
  3. ^ The extra space comes in handy with incontinence pants, I heard
  4. Haha jeans looking suitably shredded Shred... well done... wayyyy more than mine! Is that a 1927 jacket I spy though? 😉
  5. I wonder which fashion capital Sheffield's Minister for Tourism will pick Gee
  6. Lads lads, fuck Pitti... it's about time we took the Sufu show on the road... show them how it's done 😜
  7. Hahahaha... and wtf have they got in the bags?? ^ Yes Duke! C'mon Gee with that narrow 9 inch hem jibe... more like 10 pal 😉 @Duodequinquagesimus miss you our old lethal weapon... you're due a comeback, not seen some proper trolling in a while...
  8. Good article @unders - nice to see their world I sold my Reds last summer - they were made from hemp-blended denim fabric they mentioned in the article
  9. @cultpop 0217 hey mate, would be better in the 2024 WAYWT
  10. It's a good challenge Julian... suppose they want as much of the output true to original as possible whilst understanding not everything can or will be given the originals were 78-81 years ago
  11. Thanks @kiya. I'd just heard that and was about to post it. I understand the shrink was a touch too much.
  12. Mos Def with a sprinkling of Aretha... it doesn't get much better... not sure how explicit this explicit is on the explicit spectrum with the absolute explicit sh!t getting pumped out these days
  13. 🤯 good job I was sitting down for this shocker
  14. which variant of denim did you go for Julian?
  15. I have the same boot, same last... a fine one it is too. It'll out-last me, if you pardon the pun And they used to do a fine chunky derby (I think that's what they called them... shoe police please correct me), that I think Whites seem to be filling the void with now. I recall they had a comeback re-issue Japan only that looked great in tan roughout... shudda jumped on them Ahhh the good ole days of Viberg before they went all modern and pointy lasted (last time I looked, at least) aligned to the narrow-hemmed crew
  16. It's still nuts they missed out size 44 jackets from both the 1943 and 1946 runs... what's going on there?! For the 1946 jacket, the size 42 has P2P of 57.5cm then it jumps to 63cm for the size 46. What a lamentable chasm. To the boys and girls at Sugar Cane... as I know you read Superfuture Superdenim for inspiration 😜... come on what about the fellas in the middle, the forgotten size 44s? (Actually, you've probably done me a favour but my point still stands)
  17. An unhelpfully wide range they gave there bF. Where are the measurements up online? Or was that direct through seller? Thanks

@Alec Leamas welcome out of the shadows...
  19. Looking good @LazyS. Similarly I often wear the 516 with a thick hoody and think it goes well. Both the WW2 and 37 jeans are loose on me which I'm cool with... plus that's what @Duke Mantee's belts are for
  20. @LazyS hey mate, I think the 37 denim stretches quite a bit with wear. I'm saying that without having the precision of measurements to hand... however both my 37 jeans and 33 jacket feel roomier with wear than other denim I have. It's not an issue and was useful as the one-wash jacket was quite snug when I got it and is better fit now. Regarding inseam length, I've historically been cautious with hemming (too many issues with early years bad hem jobs) so got my 37s unhemmed (same as other jeans). I then decided I needed a single cuff... sent them back to Seiichiro for a hem-job I could trust (I hear the carbon footprint tutting)... even then I added a a cm or two to manage the risk... and they turned out well. Measurements then.... Seiichiro hemmed mine at 76cm... I've been wearing them and not washed them since.... I'll measure them asap today and report back to see if there's been any change.... to be continued... Update: so my 37s were hemmed to 76cm. That was after I washed them thrice, including a 40C wash and used a dryer. Currently touching 77cm after plenty of wear. A touch bigger, but not much in the grand scheme and there's always measuring error. Comparing waist size of WW2 jeans and 37s at W34. Both after plenty wear, WW2s 44.5 across and 37s 45.5 across. 37s do feel like more spacious which I think works well. Happy with both.
  21. I'm here so why not get this started... All the best for health and happiness in 2024 and beyond folks... Vintage / Freewheelers 37, 33 and Powerwear / Hollows / Viberg
  22. Interestingly... SC are not making the '43 or '46 jacket in size 44. They're doing size 42 or 46 with the latter being T-back and also a size 48 and 50. I wonder what the rationale is? Any historical reference here or just a quirk of this run? I'll consult the book.
  23. ^ bargain... wish it was my size!
