construction of the denim is great, however the denim itself isn't all that great in the fade territory. it speaks volumes that Giles & Haraki released their own TripleWorks model in a different denim.

per recommendation, i cold soaked 4001s for 30 mins or so. hang dried. slipped them on this morn and fit it perfect. snug, but perfect. hopefully will find time to wear them. got 666od and sexih07 denim on route.

i think you may have an addiction.

personally i'd commit to the 301s - they deliver.

soaked these once, no wash yet because i'm scared I wont fit them afterwards haah.

just cold wash them in the machine. if you've already soaked they shouldn't shrink too much - they'll always stretch back out.

I considered doing that but I'm pushing it with a 31. My true waist is about 32.5.

Any suggestions on other jeans with similar fit/quality?

also, if your waist is closer to 32 then at a guess i reckon a 31 may even be a struggle, and these are jeans you don't want to fight with - i've got abrasions on my thigh from where a pocket seam is rubbing due to the abrasive nature of the denim.

The PBJ, Samurai & Strike Gold's will have the denim character (especially the Strike Gold's) and slim fits. The Flat Head's & iron Heart's just have similar cuts - particularly the Iron Hearts.

Gotten a new pair of PBJ X TDS.

After 4hours of hot soak.

Feel Kinda loose in the waist and crotch area.

What do you guys think?

not that i want to contribute to nagging doubts, but it does look loose in the waist, especially considering after wearing it'll probably stretch out again.

picture bump. tried to get colour as accurate as possible but failed. jeans are WAAAY blacker in person, and the minor existing fades seem to show more on camera than in the flesh. leg creasing has yet to start too - so that'd be all yours!

I'm selling my IH-666od. They're a 32", re-hemmed (chainstitched) to be a 32" inseam. Very minimal wear - probably only worn about 15 times.

I'm just not in love with the fit.

I can't decide between SE05BSP's or the new FHxRJBs.. Any one have any advice? Currently wearing 34x34 Levi's 511's and looking for a similar fit. I'm not sure if the BSP's will be too tight, though.

i'd say the BSP's would be closer to the fit you're after. why don't you measure your Levi's and compare to the measurements on Self Edge?

hey if Im a 32 in 301s, should I buy 33 or 32 for bsp/F310.? (still not sure which cut id like more)

If you like your 301s and the way they fit then go for the BSP as the F310 has a wider leg opening.

Size wise forget the 32's as they'll be too small. Measure your 301S and then pick the tag size that matches in the FH's - so if your IH's measure a 33 in the waist then buy the 33 in Flat Head and then hot soak them. Any smaller & you could be punishing yourself post soak as the FH's aren't sanforized like the IH's.
