  1. After two sizing failures on 811's, i gambled with a pair of 884's. (never seen those here)

Got em today & finally something that works for me.. :D

A great cut imo, if anybody wants some measurements or fit pics.. just let me know.

    Is that the full/regular fit?

  2. I have an Iron Heart IHW-05 pea coat, size large, for sale. Worn maybe 10 to 15 times (it's not really cold enough to wear frequently in Seattle). Basically like new, except two of the buttons. The third button and the bottom button on the right side are a little loose, but are still holding. Giles at IHUK told me that he would cover the Looking for $640 shipped CONUS. I would also trade for a Buzz Rickson Pea Coat size 42

    Measurements (from IHUK):

    Shoulders 18.9

    Length 29.5

    Chest p2p 23.4

    Waist 23

    Opening 23

    Arm 25.6

This is a basically unused button (it's from the left side, and I always button left over right, so the buttons on the left are never used)

This is a normal button on the right side, the buttons get pulled out a little with use because the fabric is extremely thick

This is what the third and fifth buttons on the right side look like. It's pulled out slightly more and feels a bit loose.

  3. I saw the Buzz and the WG peacoats at SENY this past weekend. The WG one is black, while the standard Buzz one is navy. The WG one also appeared a bit shorter, although I'm not entirely sure. Also, the triangular pocket reinforcements at the top and bottom of the handwarmer pockets is leather on the WG, while it was just a stitched triangle on the Buzz. I didn't notice anything else

  4. Anyone here have experience with the 1955 MADE IN USA zipper fly model?

I want to know what they will shrink by in the waist and leg?

    (I am a size 34).

I got a pair in 36, haven't soaked it yet though. will report back when i do

  5. Damn, those look amazing, too bad none of SG's fits are quite right for me (otherwise, that would be my fourth pair)

How did they get the English description so good? I've never seen a description written that well from either the website of the brands or from a Rakuten shop

  6. Took a look at my RS04s, 7 weeks, one wash, barely any noticeable fading. Probably going to take another 2-3 months for good fades (but I need good sunlight to take good pictures, and it's going to take 2-3 months for good sunlight to show up in Seattle). The patch does have some good evo though

  7. I received my Roy Duck-1's in the mail from SELA today. The fantastic detailing on these has been well documented, so I'll spare the photographs. Coming from denim, the duck canvas feels very light, which is a welcome change from wearing some of the heavier denim.

I'm not too thrilled about the the hemming job on these, however. The hem is fairly broad (over 1cm wide), rather than the narrower hem of the original hem done by Roy, and typically seen on well-constructed jeans.

A big selling point of these was the combination of Roy's construction and the unsanforized fabric, which should produce lots of puckering and roping along the seams.. I'm afraid such a broad hem will not produce tight roping and seriously considering getting these rehemmed...

My RS04s have a broad hem like yours, not quite 1cm wide but noticeably wider than the original, and the roping seems to be coming along nicely. If there was a problem, I'd bet it would be the difference between duck vs denim, rather than the width of the hem

  8. agree with garden gnome, the colors really come out in the sun. I've been wearing my RS04s for 6 weeks, thought there was no color change, then I stepped out into the sun and you could see subtle shades of electric blue. (Living in Seattle means we get almost no sun right now)
