Personal taste: Fullcount, Warehouse, Samurai, Flat Head, Indigoskin, ...

Thank you. That's a bigger difference than I expected... so I'll have to take actions to prevent that much shrinkage when I wash.

To be honest, I never seen one with that "awesome" fades..
I have to agree here. There are brands that fade much "better" than IH. It seems that these are very tough to break in

@kalpa: can you please tell us, how much the inseam shrunk? Thanks

There's also a coin pocket which I don't use But, as I said, everyone should do as he pleases;-)

haraki-san won't put that belt insert (or whatever it is) for no reason. if you use the belt without inserting it, the proportionality will be quite odd
*just my 2 cents
Maybe, but I saw ripped IH patches when a thick belt is used. And why should it look odd to wear a belt over a patch, like you do on every other jeans? The patch is not that thick, that it changes the proportions. But, as always, to each his own.

do most people loop the belt under the patch like that?
You see this quite often, but I don't like it. It's a bit like showing off your expensive jeans plus I think it makes the patch rip more easily (at least when you wear a thick belt)

If they're serious about it and don't drop out, I think 10 is a good number. I'm really getting excited about this contest,a s these jeans are so special...

^you made me lol****

Yep, use Dr. bronenrs soap, step on the hem and then do the dirty job, mate ;-)

^I suggest you try it and tell me then But I would soak them while wearing them, as I don't want to shrink them too much in the waist and I think by stepping on the hem you could prevent some inseam shrinkage as well.

I just ordered a pair of 634 S-B. Giles adviced me to get a 32. I'll try if the size and the cut works out for me, and then will keep them untouched until christmas or so (my present to myself). if I can manage...

are they tapered that much, that the selvage line get cut?

same here on my 0201, probably 0,5" stretch at most.

I thought so, too, The context page said so, but it has disappeared meanwhile

^^ Thanks for the advice! Will keep it in mind...

^yes they are half sanforized, so the shrinkage will be less than on other raw denim. But they are stiff nevertheless, as sanforization is done e.g. with damp, this doesn't affect the starch. Mine were super stiff at first, that's why you can soak to get rid of starch (and possibly prolongen the lifespan of your jeans).

Thanks again. Sounds a bit small, but I'm sure you know what you're talking about

So, I'm thinking of getting the 634 S-B. I am unshure which size to buy, as i want a relaxed, but not loose fit. It would be cool, if the jeans wouldn't slip if I wore no belt, but they shouldn't be so tight, that they're hard to button. I hope you get it...
So, I wear a 31" in Nudie Regular Ralf, but they run 32,5" raw and stretched a bit since. My Momotaro 0201 32" measures 33,5" but feels a bit too tight, as it sits pretty high. So I am bent between going for a 32" or 33". Any suggestions or stretching experiences? Does the IH 634 overdyed run exactly TTS?
Thanks!

well, I like both. And if IH are really that stubborn: great. I'll find out myself. But the quote, that IH are of the best fading jeans is not true, in my opinion. But, in fades there are also different personal likings, so to each his own.
