  1. best yet. switch to a pair of black, slightly less cropped and generally just more interesting pants, however. personally I'd change the shoes too (eytys standard black canvas, converse 70s or a pair of y-3s most likely), but that's purely a matter of personal preference.

Def one of the best recently. The crop works here setting off the shoes. Y-3 would drag the whole fit down which is made with the dramatic coat and pant length combo. I would prefer other shoes, or at least monochrome, not a big fan of black and white. But I like dramatic footwear as it grounds the whole silhouette w some flair. Ann D cons here, black SC's, Takdidas  would be my preference.

  2. Point, koromo. Though, I'd still say the originator is Miyashita, but the tartan/plaid (de)evolved over time into a more simple grid.

As far as the simplified grid, I do seem to remember Cav Empt did it pretty early, but my knowledge of their history is not the best.

Sk8thing and Taka both probably got the whole thing from Westwood, but I'd say that's going a bit too far back in history.

  3. haha, just a habit i have of listing everything i'm wearing--guess it came off as more than a little pretentious. i wear this particular outfit somewhat often, i'll capture it properly next time i have my camera setup w me. just liked the silhouette and thought i'd share~

    Is it the claw ring?

  4. People have said this is on sf too, and I've always said that just like with clothes I appreciate critique and feedback, but there is never anyone who has a suggestion what I could do with it instead  <_<

I think it would look better if you cut the sides shorter, keep the length on top but part it to the side and not backwards. This may approach the hitler jugend, but if you're not a fan of the look don't buzz it short short. Just reign in a bit. Mainly I think it's a matter of styling: you should use your fingers when applying product and not comb it. Combing it is fine when not using product, but the combed, slicked back look is not a good look unless you're my grandpa or a gangster from the 20s. IMO.
