Really like the belt!
That thing is an absolute beast. The saddle leather is so thick that it actually bruised me once during the first week of wear! I sat down too fast, slightly off balance, and it caught the top of my hip bone. Not pleasant haha.
Its been holding these jeans up for at least 7 years now, maybe 8.

Here are some shots of my 10 year old Pure Blue Japan XX-005's. These have been repaired by Pey (@sashikodenim on Instagram). The high quality photos were taken by my friend, Victor (@Selvedge1), but the rest with my iPhone. I hope you enjoy them. The whole album is here including "before repair" photos: https://imgur.com/a/nL6hh

How do you like the fabric weight and weave for summer? I'm considering buying a pair to wear over board shorts on the way to and from the beach.

What color is the selvedge? The twill direction is very pronounced like I saw it on some LHT denim. But those are RHT, right?
They're RHT and I would call the selvedge color copper. Maybe someone else would call it caramel (that person being my girlfriend haha).
Here's a photo in natural light.
Does this bring any more information to light?

Do you know if the denim that Evisu International uses for their No.1 denim is the same as the MIJ No.1?
Not sure if the fabric is the same, but mine specifically state "made in Japan," "Japan made," and "hand painted seagull."

My new 2017 No.1 Private Stock jeans purchased from Evisu London. Couldn't be happier with the fit, fabric, and the sale price.

Scored a pair of No.1 2017 Private Stock jeans today in London, at the Evisu store. They were on sale for less than half price, and I had to have them. Evisu used the term "carrot" for this slim tapered cut, and it's warranted. These taper aggressively to the hem. I'll post photos after I have them hemmed tomorrow. Also, if anyone is local to the store they had at least one or two other pairs of No. 1 jeans on sale; including one slim straight with a cinch back.

This mechanics style shirt is a size medium, and from the "Samurai Club" collection. The shirt is brand new with tags and still in the packaging. It was only removed for the photos. Measurements are displayed in the photos.
I'm asking $120 but I'm willing to listen to reasonable offers or trades. Feel free to message me.
Price Drop - $78 or best offer!

You and me both.
I plan on ordering the new denim shirt he's working on, sounds like it'll be available soon.
I slept on the last Roy denim shirt and have regretted it ever since.
You'll have your chance, Janurary first. He just updated the main page of his website. The date is official and the photo of the shirts looks fantastic. I'll be picking one up as well. I can't wait.

How do the rest of my fellow iPhone users view this forum on their phones? I feel like I need an app to optimize my mobiles experience on here. I used to strictly use my laptop on this site, but I find myself on the go a lot more often lately. Any suggestions?
Also, I just got a pair of Oni 666zr from Blue In Green. I have to say, I loved the fit and can't wait to get them back post hemming.

Finally getting around to posting about these jeans. I bought them from Blue in Green sometime in 2010, I believe. They were mainly my winter jeans back when I lived in New Jersey. I spent more hours shoveling snow in these than I care to remember. Then I moved to Cali and after a year they got retired. I just didn't love the fit anymore. So, after about 6 years (3 years of actual wear) and 3 washes I had them tapered by Railcar. Which is one of the best denim decisions I have ever made. It's revived them, and now they're currently my favorite pair of jeans. The durability of these jeans has far exceeded my expectations. They've needed just one small repair for a hole on the right thigh. No crotch repairs and the arcurates are still going strong. Also, if you have any questions about the Railcar taper service feel free to ask.
P.S. The belt is a Samurai heavy weight stitched belt with a brass buckle. It's also from Blue In Green, it's about 7 years old.

I'm currently living in Okinawa, but I'll be back in California in a few weeks. How much do the duty fees usually come to? My girlfriend lives in London. I may just take the VAT tax with the free shipping to her and lick my wounds later...
Edit: I'm just going to order a 31 from okayama and hot soak them. NC should be able to handle a borderline scolding soak.

Thanks for the find! I think those come out to $254 total. So, I don't mind that they're raw. Does anyone have any experience ordering from Cultizm? I don't want to incur any unforeseen duty fees or taxes.

Anyone know where I can snag a pair of size 30 Pure Blue Japan NC-011BK (preferably one wash) for close to the ¥23000 retail price ($200USD)? They're sold out on denimio. I emailed them and they said they have no scheduled date for a restock. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes i am Pretty happy with the fit. But the topblock is still a bit roomy for my liking.
So i will do a second hot soak with only soaking the topblock.
From the thigh down they look perfect, so I really hope the second soak yields what you want. I just ordered a pair of 512's in a 28 (I think the fit is the same or similar). I was wondering what's your height/weight? I really want my fit to be spot on.

I've never had a pair xx011s, but the thighs on those should be fine. After a soak and a bit of a stretch, I have a feeling they'll be exactly where you want them. Looking forward to hearing good news about them.

The PBJs look great! As do the the selvedge curtains! Well done.

oktobr - those look great. But prolly wouldn't have had so many blow outs if you washed 'em a few times during those first two years...
I probably should've added that I gently hand washed them during the first 2 years in a bucket with samurai soap from BiG about 4 times. Not sure if that really did anything to aid the fading or blow outs. Honestly, I think they were just a bit small in the thigh. And I never held back from doing anything cuz I was wearing jeans. So I played pick up games of futsal, basketball, and anything else that life threw at me; I did it, in these jeans. I'm sure these things could give a forensic analyst a heart attack if they were a piece of evidence. They've had more blood, sweat, tears, and who the hell knows what on them. Haha

Bored on a thursday night. So, heres some shots of my 005s. Got em raw, they're 3 1/3 years old now. Wore them almost everyday for the first 2 years after a hot soak on day one. Machine washed once after the first 2 years. Machine washed all the time now. They've been repaired multiple times, crotch a few times, seat, back pocket.

I’m sure you will. You just have to find that pair that fit just right. And I have never known how superreps work on this forum. Haha I’m actually curious now that you mention it.
