I’m confused by the pictures, Roy always talked about wanting to put the one back pocket on the opposite side for his pair that he wore ( so back pocket on the left side) The first set of pics when laid flat, it looks as if it’s on the right side- but the fit pics show it on the left hand side? Interesting to see the patina on the crotch rivet, that old closet of his might have a little moisture going on, you see this sort of thing when you find pants stored in boxes in someone’s garage.

The second pic- I zoomed in and there are rivets under closer inspection- pretty sure this dude is wearing a 1800’s triple pleat Levi jacket- the collar is correct if you zoom up, crazy, forget looking at 1800’s photos- I think this is the one.

I always assumed that the Levi triple pleat that seems to disappear in the 1880’s was never really used again, but it clearly was on the page before this one….wonder who made it?

Cool- nice to see someone here got ahold of them, I believe only 7 exist.

The 1890’s sold, don’t know who bought them, but I know someone else has them now.

I’ve heard from the source, many a times the other side of this story, and I got to say- it’s not so cut and dried, while I might have all the patience in the world for what some might consider a difficult customer- others may not.

Back to doing some metal fabrication work, not full time, but it’s what he did for many years before he started making jeans.

Nothing that dangerous on deck for the next year or so- would like to find something new for the book- last time we did that was back in 2020.

I’ve been trapped doing nothing but working, mainly finishing drywall for the last 8 months…No mining what so ever, we have started putting the Levi book together, it’s only been 12 years since we said we would finish it.

I think he’s going to teach them how to use the machines, this was going to happen soon after he sold them- but covid happened.

Closet cleaning season- has just got underway

5 months ago I stopped by a road side sale and this was nicely folded next to a few 1990's pairs...They sort of knew they were special, $100 price tag- they were asking $50 for the the 90's pairs. Doc-you said there was something about this pair you hadn't seen?

I can measure them tonight, I would guess there a solid 34, maybe less- but I’ve chunked up in the past 2 weeks.

I could 360 a BMX or MTB but i can't flip, that crazy type BMX'ing has only come about since indoor ramps introduced foam pits.. a rider will cane a trick over and over into foam till they've nailed the rotation... only then will they try and land it on the ramp. My local track was outdoor gravel and painfull, i've never even rode indoor.

Been working way too much in the last 6 months, today was the first time back to the mines since my 6 month work storm, I managed to lose my footing on a small slope and fall off a 5 foot ledge- came down on my bad right shoulder and Farked it up all over again…aside from everything I just listed, at least I’m making $ again from work.

Got paid my 150 pounds, thought about retirement, but decided against it in the end.

00- have you ever pulled off a single rotation, or was this a thing after your big BMX days? When was the first time 2 flips were pulled off…Finally- will it be the back flipping robot that pulls off 4?

These folks talked with me about the Chinese and manufacturing jeans in the 1800’s, looking forward to seeing this too
