WAYWT with special guest and world renowned explorer Mike Horn. He is by far one of the most amazing human being I have ever met. Read his story if you can and hear him speak if you ever have an opportunity. the guy is simply amazing.
BTW I have a denim cap in my hand which qualifies me. I thought I had to wear khakis on a boat but Mike sure as hell didn't think so, and it was his boat.
Here is a link to his website if anyone wants to learn more.

Great photos, Farhad.
Any detail pics of the 1873 please? Gorgeous colors on all of them, but that pair in particular are beauties. very green, but a lot of color still left in the recesses.
Thanks Paul and everyone. I did take photos with my camera but I can't post those until they get published in inventory. Appologies for the tease amigo and I agree that LVC comes pretty close. Miles Johnson came from a movie background where he was dealing with costumes and making them period correct. He's doing pretty awesome and so his the rest of the team.

they were cotton thread but my guess is that we sit on our A$$es and these guys were working and didn't get to sit down much. sitting down is what tears those arcs right off is what I'm thinking.

Here's some pics of some late 1800 jeans from Mike Harris's collection. the oldest denim Levi's (1873) is to the far right in the 1st pic below.

Shot mike again for the Inventory and went on a hike after words with him and his lovely wife charla.
lots of horses in the neighborhood
and chickens
but let's not forget about the jeans he has. These are all from the late 1800's including the oldest pair of levi's from 1873 to the far right
which I'm holding here
We were of course both wearing our Roys the whole day.
cheers!!!

My impression is it's going well, some of their recent figures were the highest in years, reportedly. I've also heard grumblings about pricing - to which I guess the response is the cheaper, Turkish-sewn, rough rinse models.
More crucially, Maurizio sounds to have been promoted and is spending much more time in San Francisco, so it seems the big bods liked the way he's run the Amsterdam operation. But I don't know if he's still hands-on with XX or not - ie, I don't know if he's now moved closer to the main board in order to represent XX as a more integral part of Levi's, or whether he's taken on more responsibilities in addition to XX.
(If any Levi's staff are reading this, feel free to correct me via PM or email if I'm wrong).
I sawMaurizio at the Levi's in Malibu. He's very hands on with the XX especially LVC. Seems like when he wants to get stuff done he does. On top of it he's a super nice guy. Also saw him at inspiration. Met miles johnson as well who is Design Director Levi's XX and an extremely nice and knowledgeable person as well.

Alright, so my updates for the past week would have been boring photos of me in my Roys installing lights, scrubbing floors, touching up paint, mowing the lawn, etc. But the important part is THIS.
Good luck with everything Zissou.
$218000. Fuck I really wish Cali had similar prices. That house is a beauty! Good work zissou.I was thinking the same damn thing!!!
