Ha ha, your a sick man Crat!! funny but according to Aero leather...
http://www.aeroleatherclothing.com/product-detail.php?id=1927
...black was "the first choice back in the day" The opposite seems to be true now!
That's because brown boots are better.

Well, in my case, a ton of experience = too old for slim jeans! Also, my body shape (big thighs) does not sit well with slim jeans...
This is my problem, too. Some old guy chasing after kids in skinny jeans sagged down around his ass is a sight no one wants to see. And like Maynard, I have relatively large thighs, (33" waist with 24" thighs) so I can't even put on some of the slimmer fits. I've got nothing against well fitting slim jeans on others, though. I think it looks great when well done, and there's certainly no need for all of us to be walking around in 1955 501 repros.
Of course, I say this while wearing a pair of SDA x-33s, which are based on the 103 fit. I did size up to a 36, though.

C'mon man, 4 weeks wearing something completely different. You can do it b_F
Like he can wear the same pair of jeans for 4 weeks straight.

I'm guessing they're black, not navy.

Negged for being a dirty little tease...

The IH collab is coming out next weekend on February 15th. There'll be two jeans and one jacket. The denim is a 20oz Left Hand Twill unsanforized fabric made exclusively for us. It's fairly rigid feeling and has medium indigo shade, breathability should be average. It'll be available in the 301s fit and also the 633s fit which is the 634s but with a stronger taper.
This has my attention.

SOLD
OK, time to move a pair of boots. If you have any questions, just send me a PM and I’ll try to help. I’m willing to ship anywhere, as long as you’re willing to pay the shipping & related costs. With that said, here goes:
Viberg Navy 1950s Service Boots
Size 10D
2030 Last
Horween Navy Chromexel leather
Red Dainite sole
Gunmetal eyelets
Natural midsole
Unstructured cap toe
These were a custom order through Iron Heart, from back when Viberg was still willing to do single pair MTO boots. I've owned these about a year and have worn them moderately- maybe once a week or so. Condition is very good overall, no significant scratches, scrapes or other damage. I'll include both the original (unused) set of leather laces and the gray ones in the pictures. Any questions or requests for more pictures, measurements, extra details, etc., feel free to ask.Price- $300 (plus shipping)0 -
Came across this article about Raleigh:

Kinda cool.

Resoling a pair of Clark's desert boots would probably cost more than a new pair, if it can be done at all.

I can always use extra stickers...

Looks like you're putting pretty good wear on those 33s. I love that nep weave denim.

Out of curiosity, is there any purpose to the way the hood is constructed on those Jelado hoodies? It's an interesting design that I haven't seen before, so I was wondering if there's a functional aspect to it.

In fact, we quite like one another, despite all appearances to the contrary...
Gavin still has an enormous head, though.

The snugness of the Large makes your head look as large as a virtual planetoid.
Oh, wait...

Don't get me wrong, I love my pair, and I'll buy another at some point (too many hanging in the closet right now), but I wish Momotaro would make the openings a bit wider. All I put in the front pockets are my keys, but still...

This is the worst thing about Momotaros- the pockets are damn near unusable. I have a pair of 0905SP, which is a loose fit, and average sized hands, and it's a struggle to get anything into or out of the pockets.

OK, so I thought I’d go ahead and write up some of my impressions of the Elhaus NKxEH01, now that I’ve had them for a while. I’ll mix in a few pictures, too, so it won’t be totally boring.
First, gotta talk about the denim. This is 21oz, handwoven, LHT denim, and to say that it’s different is really inadequate. I’ve never seen any denim like this. Given the weight, you’d expect it to be thick, but it’s thick. Like really, really thick. But at the same time, it’s not at all rigid or rough. Instead, it’s soft and almost squishy, like fleece or a thin neoprene. It makes for a really soft and comfortable denim. The weave is interesting, too. Close up, it looks super tight; the weft is almost completely invisible. It also doesn’t seem like a regular 3x1 weave. From the back side it looks more like 2x1, but I think that’s just because it’s such a low tension weave. I’ve never seen denim with this much flex in it. I’m definitely curious to see how it breaks in.
Second, I feel like I should mention the color, which is an amazing blue. It looks like a really bright royal blue from a distance, but when you get closer, it’s got variations that create a great depth and complexity of color.
Third, let’s move on to the details. These have all the things you’d expect: concealed selvedge coin pocket, branded rivet backs and fly buttons, hidden back pocket rivets, etc. The most interesting thing for me is the work Elhaus put into the fly. It’s selvedge, for starters, but the really unique part is the button holes. Rather than the standard parallel holes, these are angled, which just looks cool.
Finally, some fit pics. Apologies for the unattractiveness of the model, but then , I suppose you’ve seen Megatron, and few things are worse than that.

Hey Kiya, is there any chance you have the Stevenson silk watch cap in indigo in any of the other stores? The gray is nice, but the blue is so much sexier.

The William Lennon boots in your link are an excellent value. I wish they made half sizes, though. A 9.5 would have been perfect, but a 10 was just a bit too large. Even with an insole, I was never happy with the fit. I ended up selling them, but they were some of the heaviest, most bulletproof feeling boots I've ever owned.

I'm gonna be more curious to see how many people have to retire their jeans early because they shredded them before the two years is up. Or because they gained/lost weight and the jeans aren't wearable any more. Two years is a long time...

or "a stitch in time saves nine"???
Nope. That one's just silly. I don't believe in it at all.

I did some minor repairs on the hem, maybe 10 minutes worth of work total. Happens with every pair of mine after 6 months or so. I try to be really vigilant about checking for damage, since I'm a big believer in the adage, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. It looks more like a 2x1 weave, which makes it even more interesting to me. Just not sure about the measurements. Gotta dig through a couple of pairs and compare the numbers. Dudes gotta create yet another measuring system for me to get used to.
Oh, and the description says "This is not a raw denim, please expect minimal shrinkage." I'm guessing that means sanforized, but I suppose it could be one washed, right?

Totally loving the Combatant boot from Sagara. And as a committed boot nerd, I really appreciate the shots of the manufacturing process; the pics instantly remind me what I've seen by some of the best Texas bootmakers.
I've gotta sell some of my stuff so that I can buy all of this great gear you're teasing us with, Gavin.
