Hi guys, do any of you have any sizing advice on the coverall jacket? I am usually a size large (42-44) in jackets but I can't seem to find sizing or measurements on the coverall jacket! I don't want it to be too baggy if you know what I mean, I will be ordering this from abroad, probably the US as nowhere in the UK seems to stock the 16.5oz version! so I would prefer not to have to return it as that would get very expensive! Any insight would be very much appreciated!
Peace
Dylan

I was having a closer look at my lee archives 101b the other day (i have determined that they are made by warehouse from the labels) and I noticed that the stitching on the label inside the back pocket was a bit messy!....
... But looking at it from the inside, you can see that the stitching makes a perfect "W"! I hav'nt seen anything about this before on the forums, has anyone noticed this before?

PF flyers are a good alternative to modern converse apparently! They have proper foot beds in them too. I may give them a go sometime

Looking good mate, i had dainite heels put on my wolverine 1000 mile boots when I had them re soled a while ago, they are nice and grippy in urban environments and seem to be wearing well, maybe a bit quicker than the vibram ones they replaced but worth the trade off o would say.

Lee archives would be pretty good for the summer, anything from the 30's is a looser cut and also a lighter weight denim.

...scrap that, I just re read the link you posted above which states "At some point after the war, the peacoat underwent a major change. The number of buttons showing on the front of the coat changed from eight to six."

interesting, I thought yours may be 60's - 70's because of it having 6 visible buttons but I guess non military versions differed (mine is also non military made by Fox Knapp)

yeah, any thing from WW11 to the early 50's will be a trimmer fit. I wear a 42" suit jacket but that pea coat is a size 44! but you obviously go with actual measurements with vintage clothing. I read on the link posted by cmboland above that you can size down on the more modern pea coats. thanks for the plus reps guys!

these are all looking good, my S710's are in need of repair but I am just waiting on a darning food for my electric machine and a new belt for my old treadle singer model 15, I will post up before and after shots when done (probably after christmas now).

ha ha, yeah you are both probably right. to be fair, where I live and work I very rarely see anyone wearing selvedge denim let alone historic re issue type jeans so it is really for my own benefit! I love how the older (1937 501's and earlier) jeans wear over time, I guess it is to do with the looser fit and the fact that I have always preferred natural less contrasty fades! I think I will bite the bullet on them after Christmas when I have a bit of spare cash floating about.
