  1. People say you shouldn't upsize on this cut and they're absolutely right. These are new with tags, Japanese domestic model with red tab and black arcs.

  2. If you're a XXL or XXXL in an IH shirt there isn't another Japanese brand we know of that goes up that big in the shirts.

I've found that some of Flat Head's recent 46s have been longer with longer sleeves. I'm an Iron Heart XXL/XXXL (this season ran small) and I would have bought this shirt if the shoulders hadn't been so wide.

  3. I rotate them out with 2-3 other pairs, so they get worn regularly but not every day like some people do. Enough wear to get stinky. I won't say the fades are great, but the bright sunlight seemed to wash out what modest ones i have going on. You can see a white peak at the top of my inseam and also at the uppermost comb-crease on my right leg. I've seen other people get nice outdoor pics and sunlight always seems to bring out a denim's qualities when actually looking at it in person. Not sure what I should be doing better.

  4. If you've ever wondered who needs a size 38 SE05BSP - it's me. I've had these for a little over a year now. One initial hot soak and two warm bronner's soak-washes since then. I took a half inch off the 38" inseam which may seem a bit obsessive, but it made them perfect for me. Truly my favorite pair ever. The fades look better than they do in the pics.

  5. LVC 501 1947 - 38x38 - true 38x38.5 - final 38x36.5

I bought these at the LVC store in London because 38L isn't available in the US for whatever reason. I'm glad I was able to have a lot to choose from as the sizing was quite variable in these. They seemed to have examples from different production years, the denim looking different on some of them.

Gave them two long initial hot soaks, one warm Bronner's soak-wash since then. I don't have intermediate measurements, but the third soak did seem to shorten them up a bit still. You can see the beginnings of tears where I was cuffing them. You can't really see the fades here, but I've got some decent ones coming in.
