  1. Still playing with the cuffs, but I think they’re just about dialed in. I’m glad that I went with the wide tapered fit. Wide without the taper would be too much for me.
I really like these, and am looking forward to having the black version of the same fit.

  2. they’re replacing the Cee Blues as my “nice” jeans. the CBs have about 2.5 years of near constant wear, and I’d happily buy another pair from Gilbert.
fit pics once I figure out how I like the cuffs.

  3. It’s time to let these go. I’ve held onto them for a while, but they’re not getting worn enough.
I’ll be listing them all (somewhere) soon, but feel free to hit me up if you’re interested.
    -SOLD-

They came to me separately, but I’m only sending them out as a family.

Here’s my final wear pic on all of them.

  4. I’ve loved them since the first time I handled their shirts at Blue in Green, probably around the time of the first Inspiration Brooklyn show. Everything I’ve handled from them is soft and comfortable.
None of it has the heavy construction of something like a McCoys tee or sweat (which is also great, but has that sporty feel about it).

The Tompkins sweat is very thick - not dense and heavy, but very puffy. The deep texture makes it puffy, soft, and warm.
The twill face military crew is just another piece from L&W that makes me love the different fabrics they develop for their garments. I’m also a big fan of their colors. They have some blue, black, and white, but I prefer the subtle and handsome reds, oranges, and yellows.

Duodequinquages, I'm probably going to take flack from you and everyone else here.

You make good and interesting points (e.g., preferring photos that look more natural than posed and noting that the clothes don't make the man/woman but the other way around) and you're not afraid to give an opinion, which keeps things from getting dull.  But then you provoke the group and seem to be itching for a fight.  Why not scale it back a hair, take the time to listen and learn, and earn respect with patience?  You have nothing to prove, as your questions and insights are generally good.  As you know, if you provoke you'll get a response.  Maybe this is part of the fun, but wouldn't it be more fun to just keep learning and make a few friends?

This might be the most reasonable thing I’ve ever read on the internet.
That’s a hell of a soft touch you’ve got. Well done.

Anyway whatever makes you happy makes me happy too.

I appreciate that. I just don’t want to rely on one person’s experience to determine how the sizing runs for the entire group. Hopefully, everyone’s order will work for them and I’ll be envious of those who stuck with it.

Now that I have some extra money for denim, about those Dawson’s I’ve been eyeing...
