  1. the jugend style is so played out here in aus

Brisbane boy w/ Jugend here, it's def. a little played out round here, even though I'm the only one amongst my friends to have it. That said, I don't think it's too played out not to rock it, I'd wait a few more months to declare it unworthy of attention. I'll continue to rock something like it, but only when I'm too lazy/in too professional or formal a setting to rock a Morrissey quiff.

Well, that's my 2 cents anyway.

Would anyone know what cut and styling would be used to achieve this? My hair is relatively medium thickness, completely straight, and rather strong. Sorry if it seems like a dumb question, but I'm not very knowledgeable with hair.

  3. +1 to an extent.

A nice, basic collection, most of the items are pretty good, if a little on the "u-huh, u-huh, u-huh" ho-hum side. Nice colours as stated, the pants DO look stupid, but that jumper it's with looks great.

  4. The pants are interesting. Though not my cup of tea, i just can't see them working in the 'real' world. Hello? wear that out? unless you wear 5 inch platform heels sure. It works for women. I think the volume/proportion pant thing is for runway.

I dunno with Raf. He's starting to tarnish a little. I loved him a few years back. For me his decline started the seasons after the strappy, tech mountain climber, de stil geometric collection with them crazy sandals and great collab eastpak bags.

While I disagree with you on the pants, and think it's easily wearable, there are certainly other items that many shouldn't try, and those pants certainly shouldn't be paired with anything too fitted up top, which would make it as you say IMO.

As for your second point, I'll wait for 1 more collection before I make a straightforward comment, but I definitely see where you're coming from, and you're probably right.

  5. Wow, all you guys hate the pants? I actually loved them, I wouldn't want them to be a new standard but they'd make a nice alternative on odd days.

I quite enjoyed this collection. While I did appreciate last F/W and the next one, this is the first of the "new raf" collections that has actually got me saving.

  6. katie eary anyone? yes? no?

Cool? Yes. Wearable? Generally not, I don't know how much steez you have so it could end up being awesome, but the stuff would be HARD to pull off. Some of the more basic pieces like the tees can be good, but how much is worth wearing seems to vary wildly from season to season.

I could see myself wearing those organ tees, maybe the shiny black pants from SS10, possibly the red jacket from last season if it was a brave day. This is all IMO of course.

  7. anyone tried Tom Ford?? The ad just makes me want to buy it....

I've tried the various TF fragrances, and own Grey Vetiver. Tom Ford (the frag) isn't worth spending money on, pretty bland and unexciting IMO.

  8. ^Agreed, waist suppression shouldn't require vent removal. Did she tell where she was bringing it in, at the side seams or the centre seam? If it was at the side seams, she may have decided that it was causing the vents to flare out too much.

Still, she f*cked up, no tailor should remove vents under any circumstances without express request.

As for making new vents, it's pretty much an impossiblity. A vent requires an overlap to prevent the sight of an unsightly gap constantly forming at your behind, and you can't add fabric that wasn't there unless you want your jacket to look like it's been butchered.
