  1. Haven’t popped in here in a while but I gotta say, E looks good in the hat/gloves lol. Better than the cat eyes glasses and pointy balenciaga shoes … his overall look has more of that dystopian usps deliverer vibe which I would take over tacky graphics/ neon/ weirdo balenciaga stuff.

Unfortunately, the latter still seems to be the main direction he’s going.

  2. I’m on the fence too, thinking about p39-m but am unsure of the fabric. I called a retailer and they said it feels organic and cotton-like but I was waiting to hear more thoughts on here before pulling the trigger. I think fit and details wise they’re what I’m looking for as their plainess will make them easier to integrate in a wider variety of outfits.

  3. IIRC I double paid my duties once and I THINK it took like 3-6 months to get refunded. It came to me in a check when I had basically forgotten about it and figured I’d never get it back.

Buddy got the J1B from them. Didn't even come with the hoods.

Weird cuz I got the j1b from ssense too and got everything. I’m not advocating for ssense just wanted to share with y’all.

Was Notre this slow before the pandemic, too? I read on their FAQ for shipping that there's at least a 2 day delay on order processing due to an influx of orders.

Yeah, I bought things from them in 2017 and it was slow and they sent me the wrong item (out of 2 items lol). When I reached out they said they “found” my correct item and asked me to send the incorrect one back in exchange and after I did that they eventually emailed me that they lost the item I originally wanted lol. I’ve ordered from them ~5 times since then too and it’s always been slow, they seem to be so understaffed they can’t even get you measurements for items. All pre pandemic...

That said their dunk collab was dope hah

No, I don't think this is right. I've owned a silver foil, a black foil, and a green regular (with the current "foil" reverse face) and they are all obviously of different durabilities. The silver foil is incredibly fragile, but even the black is much less rigid than the back-face of the green xpac. The current "foil" seems to be laminated in some way that makes it much tougher (and more rigid).

As for waning magic, man, whatever. I'm too lazy, but I wonder what year the first post about "the magic is gone" was made in? Before 2016, I bet... hasn't it always been like this? Maybe it's you that have changed? It's been five years, after all -- it's natural for your tastes to shift over such a long period of time.

I've said this before but I think "making money" is the wrong take. Prices go up, sure, but the volume is too low for it to be a cash cow. If he wanted to make money, he would create a diffusion line and do more shoes. Acronym is his art/prestige project.

Yeah, I get that people always wish for the way things used to be so that’s fair to say. I liked acronym in 2010 and I still like it now.

I mean I don’t think he’s making money hand over fist but as it has been discussed before there are definitely items that sit. As far as I know, almost every multi item sells out within minutes. Back to the pre-nike days I don’t think anyone needed a damn website tracker to try to get things in the first 10 minutes before it all sold out. So he’s definitely catering to hype in some form and that’s honestly how our retail landscape operates today. Look at nike with their snkrs drops and all these raffles lol and all the bot copping. Everyone wants in on something and it’s all so globalized now.

  7. Well to put it simply, I think clever and functional designs are still well received. For example, everyone was happy with tension zips.

The multi is just playing on the current (already played out) trend of upcycling garments, think needles rebuild, old park, heck even patagonia has its own frankenstein upcycling program. I think people on here see the multi as errolson just trend hopping and catering to what’s hot instead of just doing his own thing like “the good ole days”. I get that it’s a business first and foremost and the man’s gotta make money, but I do find things getting cornier and cornier (with that said if you take a step back maybe it was always corny lol).

I think with acronym’s oversaturation, the veneer of “badassery” has kind of really worn off. This is pretty much just nerd clothing at this point. And that’s fine with me, but I certainly don’t really think of acronym as fashionable for the most part.

  8. Does anyone else wish E would offer pants with wider hems (8.5 in +) again? I feel like pretty much every pant has a taper and it’s kind of unnecessary, for example the p34 would look a lot better without the awkward taper below the knee. Just my 2 cents
