  1. Thoughts on chainstitching my 811s versus hemming.

My jeans are at a 36 inseam and I usually wear a 34 for a nice cuffed look. All of my other jeans are chainstitched, but I'm feeling the pinch economically right now. I'm going to LA in 10 days, so I could shoot them to Schaeffer's, but I wanted to get some feedback generally.

Any thoughts on chainstitching overall? Strong opinions? Harsh language?

  2. Soak now, but put something in the waist to keep it from shrinking. Sticks and baking pans are popular choices. How did you size them?

I sized them true to size and I washed them in warm water. The inseam shrank precisely to 36, but I forgot to put something in the waist. I wore them wet and have been punishing them in the waist. It feels good so far. A wee bit tight, but over all they're good.

I sized them true to size and even though I have thunder thighs, I love the fit.

    Fit pics tonight.

  3. Just got my Eternals size 34 and although they fit great in the waist, it feels like the inseam is 48 inches instead of 39. The denim is magnificent, however. Rough, slubby. Wow. Should I soak right away or wear them until I stretch the bejeebus out of the waist? I'll post fit pics.

  4. So, can anyone suggest a warehouse in 34 that fits slim straight? Somewhat like Skulls 5010xx? I'm thinking the 1001s. I have big thighs and a proper 34 waist. Do the size 35s in the 1001s sound right?

    Thanks.

  5. I have a pair of IH301 size 34...

Soaked only once and worn barely 36 hours. There was virtually no shrinking of the inseam (maybe 1/4 inch) and the waist is normal.

There is a tiny bit of fading on the back pocket as I rode my bike to work, but other than that they have not been worn. I'm looking for 300 including shipping for these but I'm willing to entertain serious offers.

I will have better pics this evening.

  6. INTEREST CHECK

I have some IH 301s 34 bought from worn a total of 36 hours and soaked once. I'd like 300 including shipping. They have virtually no wear and they look great. I just can't get past the cut--they were a gift. Message me for pics.

  7. Wow! Here are some fit pics of my new IH301S.

These are amazing, so far. I can't believe how much lighter they feel than my Flat Heads SE05BSPs 34.

I often wear jeans in 95 degree weather--I know, I'm crazy, but, I'll see how I feel in these.

They really do feel so much lighter than my FlatHeads. Almost like my Momotaros.

Wow. I feel like something's changed in my happy little soul.

  8. Super repped post to Moykky and Mlyngard. Quick question for y'all. Loving and repping my SE05BSPs, but wondering if I should give them one more cold wash and nice soft dry in the drying machine.

That would make 3 washes from inception, but I'm thinking there's a wee tiny bit more shrinkage left to get out. Any tips?

    Thanks

  9. I found that I had to hot soak, and wash my 0705SPs to get the proper fit, but now they're like a dream. They became more taut without becoming rigid, and the hairiness is wonderful. I can't buy any more jeans until december as I'm working on a couple of pairs. They haven't lost too much of the darkness either. I live in Austin and no summer is going to get me out of my denim! That, and I work indoors and can wear jeans anytime--Thank you AC.

I'll post fit pics of my Momo's later.

Here are my 66BSPBK's size 34. I hot washed these 2 or 3 times and I've worn them maybe 20 times. I also chain stitched them to 33 at Schaeffer's in L.A. The thighs definitely shrunk a bit--I don't care if I have big thighs. I like them. The fading started immediately on the back pockets and the denim feels great. It has a stiffness but it's soft at the same time. It produces wonderful jean dust and they really are black as hell.

    RJB's game is superb.

  11. Hey y'all, wondering if any suggestions on my new NCs--should I soak soon (I've had them a little bit over a week), or should I wait a long time. These are not stretching hardly at all. Thankfully, that's been my experience with some used ones that I got from someone. They never have really stretched like my PS. Sorry for being too lazy to look through the thread.

    Thanks,

    Lantern

  12. Great fit man!

Hey, quick question. I've soaked my skulls once after 2 weeks of solid wearing. Not much shrinkage, but I'd like to shrink them a bit further. Does anyone think a wash right now would seriously damage the fading potential of my jeans?

  13. Hey y'all, here are my momotaro's going to battle tight straight size 36. These were bought from context on January 20 and I have only worn them 3 times and never for more than 3 or 4 hours. They have never been soaked and I have the original cloth bag and stuff they came with.

The paint is exactly as the day I got it.

250 with shipping included is what I'd like, but I'm willing to entertain reasonable offers above 200.
