Does anyone know how the last few years of RRL Murdock engineer boots have been fitting? I am wondering to go TTS or down 1/2 size like normal for boots. TIA

itschrisb I'd say head to the shop, the best deals are to be had in person.
I've seen Christians Collect 18 ozs and only after a few weeks of wear he is starting to bright blues coming through the whiskers. The denim is so rough it almost feels like sandpaper. The irregular weft looks great too. If I hadn't just picked up the Black Blue collabs I would have probably grabbed a pair of those.
JdcINK I'd measure a pair of your current jeans to see what they measure now because my size 33 Black Blue collabs started at 32" stretched out to 34", shrank back to 32" after a warm soak but easily stretched back out to 34". If you need something smaller I'd suggest getting the 32s.

I soaked warm soaked my size 33 BlackBlue collab jeans last night after almost 4 weeks of wear.
Heres the post soak measurements:
w - 32"
fr - 11.25"
br- 16"
th- 12.25"
k - 8.5"
lo - little less than 8"
i - shrank 1 inch

I picked up the BlackBlue collab jeans last friday from Left Field in store. I picked up a size 33 and have been wearing them since I got them. I just measured everything and the waist is already at 34". They were slightly snug at first but stretched over my long johns quite easily. For those wondering I got the same measurements on the site except for the thigh. Going straight across I got 12.5" while a slight angle I could see how 13" could be possible but 12.5" definitely seems more accurate. Everyone is going to get slightly different measurements so I'd say go to Left Field or BlackBlue and try em on if you can.

i picked up a pair of khaki vintage authenics at the vans outlet in delaware last summer. the laces are narrower and feel nicer not that its a big deal.

Anyone know if the waist on the selvedge duck miners, or any of their chinos, may be taken in? Assuming that since they don't have a split waistband, this is a no-go.
The waist on any of the field pants is easily able to be taken in.

And because no one has posted pictures yet of their hoodies, heres a quick snap and my favorite zipper I have seen in awhile.

I got my Mule Skinner Denim Jacket earlier this week. Tough decision about which size to get, the Large felt a lil bit too big but I could easily layer my hoodie underneath but I decided to go with the Medium to have a tighter more classic look. The lining on this is amazing, super thick and soft and in my picture looks really white but actually more of a light cream, a vintage dead stock look. No plans on soaking as the Nihon Menpu denim is already sansforized. I plan on taking measurements after a week or so more of wear to see how it streches out.
and here is a teaser of my Kaiharas

I would suggest going true to size on the 23 oz. They are stiff bastards at first and can feel like a sack of potatoes but once you get your creases set and begin to form to your legs they are great. I have machine washed mine around 4 times now trying to get more shrink out of them but I honestly have noticed no change.
For those in the office game I would highly suggest the Cone Mills Indigo Twill. Especially in the field pant those suckers look real dressed up with really unique construction. I saw someone after a month or two of wear and havent seen anything else like them.
I'm still waiting to cop a blanket lined denim jacket which should be in soon, super stoked on those. Going to be rocking an indigo tee under my indigo hoodie underneath my jacket with my Kaiharas and indigo diped vans for awhile.

That is an easy repair you could easily do with an thick thread (could use dental floss for example) and a needle. No need to take to a tailor. Take this project on yourself.
