  1. phive-oh-won, great looking jackets.

Is that first one a non-LVC version? If so, can you give us some info on the denim? Those were sold in raw denim but nobody knew if they'd shrink, fade etc. Thanks in advance..

I guess this has already been answered already, but I have the non-LVC version... I think I got it last winter. I haven't had any experience with shrinking, but I haven't washed it or soaked it yet. Also, the denim is darker and less stiff than the that of the 501's. stitching and hardware are the same though and I think it fades more interestingly than the 501's.

  2. wow... there's some beautiful jackets in this thread. Here's a couple pictures of my Levi's jackets.

I've had the type one for around a year and it's starting to get some subtle fading. I've only had the trucker jacket for a couple of months.

  3. I hope this post isn't too long, but here's a few pics from this weekend.

    Saturday, I wore a Levi's type 1 jacket and 501's

this morning, I wore some bullhead black denim pants that I turned into shorts...

... later, I changed into midnight 501's with a couple of modifications that I did when I was bored.

  4. This is how my APC New Standards look on me, two weeks in, sized down one (size 31). No soaks, no hemming done yet. What do you guys think I should do? Hem/don't hem? Are the inseams 34" or 35"?

I don't like how the denim looks at my knees...

if you soak the jeans, that would probably make them fit better. If you're worried that they'll be to small, you could put something in the tight areas to keep them from shrinking too much. I would definitely try soaking before I did something drastic like tapering or hemming.

Also, I don't think the fit is that bad. It looks like a good, looser fit... and the knees will look better if you soak to get rid of some of the starch.

  5. hi, I'm new, but I've been lurking for a little while. Here's some repairs I did on my h&m sliqs, Levi's STF's and Levi's 1966 super slims
