These will be 6 years old in December. Distressed smooth bounty hunter, 1 resole after 4 years. Used for work 5 days a week.

I got tired of regular sized masks not working with my beard. This one has been working nicely and I have to wear it 8 hours a day at work. Only thing it doesn't have is a nose wire, but luckily I don't wear glasses.

I've been to a few protests in Denver as well. Same setup.

After a bit of a hiatus from photography, I got inspired again during lockdown. I've been exploring my new state of Colorado. I currently use a Canon 10D [17 years old] with a 50mm f/1.8 II[$150 lens]. Planning on buying a Sony mirrorless camera soon.

It doesn't look to me like they've violated the warranty. They are not guaranteed to never wear out in your lifetime. If you support the brand, be sensible and support the brand.
"Our unconditional lifetime guarantee is simple and without strings or conditions. If our socks are not the most comfortable, durable and best fitting socks you have ever owned, return them for another pair."
Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Someone had me believe that once they wore out you could send them back for a replacement, but I had never read the warranty.

Doing the math while [DUI] on gummies ... a pair of DarnTough medium cushion crew only cost 6¢/wk ... e.i., @$30 for 10yrs ... but, I usually do my purchase once a year, when they’re on discount ... so they even cost less
My oldest pairs are like 4.5 years old now, used for work, and getting real thin in the heel. I should probably send them back for new ones pretty soon. My newest pairs feel so much better and thicker.

Got my Bounty Hunters back from White's. Took a little less than 2 weeks for a resole. Pretty happy with the work.

Thinking about putting my streaky denim Cougars up on ebay. Think I got them in 2009, but they were really tight then and don't fit now. That was before the earthquake that destroyed the shop. They have some cool details that Ande didn't include in his new designs.

Did you go to high school in San Jose? I grew up there and there was no one at my school that fits that description. Although if you grew up in Gilroy or south-east SJ heading towards Gilroy/Hollister I could definitely see how you'd have those types of kids around in high school.
Yea, I was on the south side, right at the border of civilization and hickville.

I've never liked how Lee jeans have looked and always associated them with the dumbass hicks from my high school that wore cowboy hats and drove old raised trucks.

fav band atm

They say they source all fabric domestically and from White Oak. They allude to different fits and also rigid and stretch denim choices, but just have the one model atm I guess. Wouldn't expect hidden rivets at that price point, but would be nice.

Interesting. I just came across this company and they claim to be working with Cone to source their denim.

I’ve officially burned out on the whole denim/clothing/brand craze. Don’t get me wrong, I still like what I have but I now have zero desire to accumulate more stuff. Any of you experience this?
That's been me for a few years. After wearing raw indigo jeans for years, I was wanting a pair of black on black jeans and my favorite denim brand was out of stock, so I bought some Levi's 513 with elastane in them to tide me over. Well, they fit me perfectly and that little bit of stretch made a huge difference in mobility/comfort and I haven't really gone back to my raw. I just bought some more jeans that are designed for rock climbing, with even more stretch in them and a water repellent finish that'll be nice in the rain. :x
Denim is getting new tech that I like. Still rock my Iron Heart flannels and White's boots every day, though.

Nice. What did you apply to yours after cleaning? In the beginning I treated mine with Obenauf's LP and it gave them that darker, duller appearance. I wasn't a big fan of how it flattened out the patina and eventually moved to a neutral cream with mink oil.
Thanks for crediting me with your inspiration; back when I ordered mine I couldn't find many pictures of the distressed smooth leather and took a bit of a punt. Truth be told, I was a bit regretful when natural chromexcel became an option shortly after I ordered.
Like yours, mine are in need of a resole/heel. What sole are you going to go with? I'll probably go with a 430 mini lug this time around.
I use Obenauf's lp, mainly because they get scuffed and wet a lot at work. They look dull at first but after a some wearing and brushing, the shine comes back. I have Obenauf's oil too. Feel like they need some of that soon.
I was really considering chromexcel, but since these were boots mainly used for work, I wanted something a little tougher like distressed smooth, and after some aging they look pretty similar
Think I'll go with the same heel and sole as before. I do a ton of walking in them and was happy to get 3 years out of the vibram 700 and quabaug heel. A half sole and full leather heel stack would be cool but I feel like the full sole is better for my conditions. Considering asking for the heel to be more of a straight taper, like Viberg does, instead of a logger style.

Let's take a moment to appreciate all the hard work wildland firefighters in White's/Nick's/Wesco boots are doing in California. I live 200 miles away from the Campfire in northern California, but the air quality here is near toxic levels.Saw this image today on my feed and it really struck me.16

He's a big fan of PNW boots like White's/Nicks's. Never really seemed biased. Never seen him even mention Thursday boots.
