  1. Hey peoples.

Not posted here in a while, not needed new jeans for ages......Anyway...

I was wondering about the brand Thvm Atelier...

Does anyone know how they size? Waist etc.

I was interested in the skinny cut mainly.

I normally wear Nudie thin finns......Maybe not the most favorite with denim heads, but for me the fit is perfection. (Considering my long thin frame)

Would the skinny Thvm fit compare to finns? Its the skinny raw im interested in.

Any words of wisdom would be golden. Thanks guys.

  2. give us a chance ed......most of us have probably got bad headaches and sick buckets beside us......

    happy birthday anyway!!!!!

new year new ed, may all things denim and leather come your way.....well ones you hopefully dont own allready anyway!

    xoxo

  3. right, i dont use logic, like you probably know but, i think they are auxileries or send effects......you basicly bounce all your tracks, then if you wanted to add reverb to alot of tracks, like you would, you put your reverb on a auxillery. that way tracks can share it so you dont have to put a seperate reverb on every channel, thus saving processor power, read up on your logic pdf under send effects, auxilleries.......sorry for my poor spelling of auxfknilleriys. you would adjust the amount you need from the channel mixer somewhere.....you could just put reverb on seperate channels, but reverb is hungry and its soon gonna fall over if you have 10 verbs on 10 channels. if you have 1 verb on the send effects channel, you can 'send' it to the 10 tracks and only using the 1 verb....

  4. what do you think? would you bounce it with all the effects and be done with it?

or bounce without, add them later, and run your cpu back up!!!!........bounce with ALL effects on, that way you can take them all off the track, and have more power ;)

edit, your mate outside the club was high on white doves n purple butterflies by the sounds of things.....you can make a good bassline, mono, bounce it down, then double the part up to make it heavier or eq them differently, then compress them together on the same bus........if your making anything these days you need to know how to use a compressor....its not too hard to learn ;)

edit, again,.....sorry i was being a bit of a penis there...its easy to say its easy to learn when you know how to use a compressor....compressors are probably the hardest things to learn, but thats what has to be done...learn....i would say get one and muck about with it on extreme settings. put the ratio to the top, so its acting like a limiter, and try it with fast attack slow release times, and vice a versa, and just listen to what its doing....

  5. ^ ha ha yep thats why its called massive....bounce your tracks down. turn them into audio. it cements them solid, and also if you leave all the synths as midi you can get playback problems, eats all your cpu, as youve seen, bounce them down then you can have 20 tracks of massive;)

  6. microwaves do have a nice sound about them, i probably wouldnt want 2 pay much more though.....you can bet your life it'll double in price though..and look at the shipping!!!!!! wtf!!!!!....pity it didnt come with the last photo too...

i found a yamaha ps-3, at a carboot sale about 6 months ago....i paid £5 for it......it was circuit bent by a real pro. its wicked!!!......i know this synth is a piece, but now it has audio out, and all sorts of crazy mod bent nonsense i love it......ill have to put some pics up in here sometime... .

  7. damn youve some nice software their fatale, i love having a crack with albino 3, its a real good synth to get into and learn, also massive..im not a logic user myself though....i use cubase, ableton, reason inside the box....

edit, most of that stuff from 9inch nails on ebay looked far too expensive to me....i wouldnt have paid what they were going for!!!!...thats just me though.....

  8. haha, yep i wanna have a go with it.......but i dont think its gonna happen this year.......all my gear is in the loft.....i s'pose i could load ableton up and have a fiddle with headphones though?....its good to see what different people come up with, different styles, production techniques etc....its a really great vocal, and something real good could be made with it......get on the case!!!

edit, what are you using ROYALEFATALE??

  9. ROYALEFATALE, chop the vocal up, you dont need to use all of it??? find a good bit, put some filter and effects on it, and you have a great hook, good on you for putting the link to the samples up for everyone, id love to have a fiddle with them for a day, when i have time.....

HAPLIOD,.......just shows you how easy it really can be.....what a sh1tehot track too, ive loved the prodigy for time now........imo, all the best tracks come together really quickly, most of my best stuff has been down in a couple hours......then weeks fiddling with it  .

  10. need opinions on this remix, have a listen, i haven't submitted it yet

    http://soundcloud.com/royalefatale

you say its for a remix comp......im guessing the samples come from a mag or online somewhere and you just bolted it together? which is fine, they are good quality samples, and a great vocal, but take away the vocal and what do you have?........ chop the vocal up, screw with it, get the track into line, ie for a track like this i would say, intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, outro.maybe?.....at the moment to me it sounds like an accapella and a few standard samps........make it your own.

  11. id probably do it longer than that, maybee 45 mins, it wont lose much starch because the starch will be in the water, soaking into the jeans, if you change the water and soak again that would lose the starch. i think a first soak 45 mins, warm water, if you want them to shrink a bit......thats what i would do anyway if they were raw. if they are one wash you wont get no shrinkage out of them, its all been done.

  12. were those skulls with the cat dchill?....i was saying to dawei69 about the dry stretch.....i think its good to start into the world of dry denim with nudie though, i know most do anyway, but if you can get great fades on nudies, you can on anything!

  13. ahhh thanks for info dchill.

^nudies dry stretch is hard to fade...im working on some now.......i think they come to life after a few soaks though. its best to wear them for as long as possible then soak them, then contrast can be seen. they are tough though.....
