...and take it easy on the lake, like a good Minnesotan should always do in summer.

*note: some activities completed in jeans, some not, due mainly to extreme summer heat and wearing of practical garments for sweat reduction*

  2. alex...that's a hell of a way to wear a thou$and dollar$ of clothe$ and look like you don't give any fuck$ what$oever.

and since i know everyone is going to bitch about the shoe laces...chill out everyone, i'm sure he tied them before he left his..backyard backpatio. so before you go, "oh you can't even tie your shoe laces for a picture, uhhh, you lazy bastard." ...shut up, it actually complements (while, yes, lacking practicality) the i don't give a fuck-ness of the fit.

but for real, this kill$ it. good $tuff. my favorite fit of yours to date, i think.

  3. gilangaditya, i'm not feeling the pullover / jacket, it looks really, i dunno, boxy? and leather shoes or boots would compliment better than the NB. i don't mind mixing athletic pieces with others, etc. but here it doesn't look like it fits in as well.

not a bad fit at all, but you've had some fucking awesome one's lately and this fell off a bit for me.

kansas, that jacket is really fucking cool. i like the fit a lot.

  4. I miss being able to leave comments with rep and neg rep. totally screws up the dynamic of sufu.

i agree completely...but now it makes people voice their opinions in the forum itself, which i think is alright, but mostly they don't, they rep (+ or -) and that's it.

what I don't miss is the ubiquitous, "can't rep right now" posts though, that got annoying.

  5. Whats the deal with Xchen giving all my pic's a negative hit LOL. Ehh coming from a person who has 571K positives I guess Xchen must know something

first fit was good, i like the look a lot actually, but it all screams trying too hard. mainly what's going on with your general head area. hair, glasses, cigarette pose...

second is good from the waist down (minus the chain and keys, doesn't look grunge enough) waist up is bad. cardigan isn't a huge miss, but the t shirt is. not a good look, and the tuck doesn't help.

overall the fit has no synergy, cardigan and scoop neck T w/ ripped jeans, chain and boots is bi-polar.

now to contradict myself, if the proportions of the pieces were different (mainly, longer silhouette), and if you were a 100lb. ninja wearing undercover, rick owens, whatever other designers play that look off well it would look really, really good. its all about those proportions :/

...and I'm not trying to rip ya apart, just my humble thoughts on the matter...

Is Yan Jing good fresh on tap? shit kills me in these imported bottles. Chicago-Lake seems to be nixing black Eastern beers (asahi black being my most lamented casualty) so I've been dipping into lighter beers, Tsing Tao or straight Grain Belt lately. Staying away from imported Yan Jing.

it's much better than tsingtao, but still nothing special. 1000 times better on tap than in a bottle, but still just OK. it's the local brew so it's available a lot of places for next to nothing so i drink it when i "just want a beer", but i find myself only wanting to drink Kirin since the place next door sells it in 600ml bottles for 8rmb, like $1.50...still my favorite Japanese beer behind Hitachino Nest Ale, which is absolutely amazing but i can't buy here. hope all is well back over there!!!

  7. from an all day sunday ride

i live in the embassy district of beijing, and i love how quiet everything is at night and on the weekends, particularly southern chaoyang, where my favorite breakfast place happens to be. stopped there sunday for beer and breakfast.

a tall yanjing, biscuits and gravy, and a breakfast scramble later i was ready for the day.

i still hadn't been to the temple of heaven, so we kept riding south past the beijing train station.

    this dude was working hard...

spent a good deal of time just wandering the park. there was a small band playing here, patriotic songs, everyone in the whole place was joining in singing. pretty great experience actually.

came back up north and rode a few laps around the forbidden city. there's a small access road you can get on which takes you past the main gate and right outside the walls on the inside of the moat. there's no traffic and it's a great place to just hang out.
