very sharp roy. I assume the 557 was decorated by LVC? Would love to see some close ups of the details.
Thanks! Yes, finished by LVC. A 505 jacket from last year. I'd only seen this one at the LVC shop before I found this one.

^Some of the shirts and non-denim jackets are based on real items from Levi's past, some are just vintage stylee like RRL products. The belts and bags are I think completely new in design.

No way, ThisSunday, those were all taken at the Venetian. You thought the gondola ride would be a give-away, huh?

Welcome to the 20th century, LVC!
I actually like the drawings a lot. That's what their sales lists that they give out to the retailers look like. Old timey photos are quite nice too. Good looking gingham check pleated jacket (Levi's did make one) in one.
Who's up for that 1874 hunting jacket? A lot of people seemed to like the LVCJ version of that that was out a few years ago...

LVC '30s Ranch pants 'The Riders'. From 2007.
If only there was some way to let the nice folks at LVC know how nice a rigid model of these would be...

^ I imagine she would be offended to have her pair compared to those sloppy, sandpapered rags of yours.
I apologize, TG.

Nice! I love how you can see the imprint of the hidden coin-pocket and it's interior rivet fading through.

Sleep in for a few hours and look what happens.
Well, it does answer one question- yes, someone at LVC does pay attention to Superfuture and hears our various criticisms and compliments.

entertainment!- the end date is January 2nd, 2012. PaulT just wrote the date backwwards, as the Brits so often do. No wonder they lost the empire. Of course, in the USA we write the date properly, and still...
I washed the roys this past weekend, broke down and gave them a machine wash on warm delicate cycle, since the bathtub/hand soak wasn't really getting them clean lately.
But:
No! Am I headed for a blowout? There are five spots where I can see my finger through the denim. Should I have this reenforced now?

eltopo that looks great! Nicely shot in its natural habitat, too. I thought that you were going for the black over-dyed button up though?

something funny. this guy is trying to sell a reproduction from lvc as an restored original. in fact it´s the limited "rust and blue" form 2005 or so,
it even could be the one i owned once...
Please see here. Inspired by you.

Up side of having to cuff lower as the jeans shrink- new cuff line so less chance of holes along the edge.

Bad influence. Love it.

I believe this is correct, but if anyone sees any mistakes (was there a 505 jacket back then?) let me know. There were other models starting to come out in late 1998, but thought they should go on the 1999ish catalog.

It is nice, huh? I like how LVC has a playful side. You usually only see it in '60s/'70s repros, as if no one had a sense of humor before that.
