Last I read I was the only one talking specifically about ACR pricing model AND giving possible solutions.

Solutions for a problem that doesn't exist.  Maybe I'm wrong and ACR will hire you as a consultant to help them improve their struggling business, but I doubt it.

I seriously don't get the "shut up" attitude some have here. If someone has a viewpoint I disagree with, I would start a discussion, not shut him up.

If you want to start a discussion, start your own thread, it's a discussion that has gone on for a long time regarding luxury brands in general, not just ACR, feel free to continue the discussion on your own thread.  This thread is over 10 years old and has been sustained by people who passionately support the brand, not question and complain about it.

  3. Acronym has never been purely about profit, let alone price equilibrium, I believe Errolson has said this specifically in past interviews.  Increased production is not the goal, even though it is clearly your goal.  The fact that you think ACR was fairly priced at one point and now is not shows how out of touch you are.

You went down a size on the J58? I was looking at that to add on to my J1A, but I figured I should get the large. I figured they should be the same size to the liner lines up with the fitting points? Or should I just size down?

I currently wear ACR jackets in a large myself. J1A 2.2 is pretty comfy for me to layer up with, but the J47 I can only get away with something light.

I posted fit pics of both medium and large a couple pages back.  I wanted a slimmer fit on the j58.  The zippers should all line up as I don't believe they use different size zippers for different sizes.

Personally if you are L in ACR jackets then I think you should get the same size for all your ACR jackets.
If the cut/shape of the jacket doesn't suit in your size then I don't think a smaller/larger size will be more flattering. Although there probably are exceptions such as older pieces.

I'm typically a LG in ACR but went Medium for J58-WS/J48-BR.  Whether it's jackets/pants/t-shirts, ACR sizing has been generally inconsistent throughout the years as far as I am concerned.  I'd get measurements and compare to other pieces prior to buying anything whether older or newer styles.

  6. Do I understand correctly that CH fabric has changed?  I have some of the CH shorts from years ago that kind of look like denim, I thought I'd read that new CH is thinner/lighter material?  Thanks for any info.

What was the jacket with the removable sleeves? That was the jump the shark moment for me.

I dont know about jumping the shark, I love my GT-J21, especially here in the PNW.

  8. Does anyone have any tips for returning good to ACR in Czech Republic from the US?  I am trying to send back a size Large J58-WS and UPS quoted $295USD and Fedex $195USD.  Thanks for any info.

Alternatively, if anyone is interested in the size Large J58 shoot me a message, I am not trying to make money, just cut my losses.

  9. I have just bought size Med and Lg J58-WS from acrnm.com and I think I am for sure going to pass on the Lg and may skip the Med as well.  If anyone in the US is interested in either, I'd sell for $1099 + shipping (Bodega Price), which would save me money shipping back and you money on import/bank fees.  I posted some fit pics on the general ACR thread if anyone feels like popping over and giving me some feedback.

  10. I think this is my 1st fit pic post.  Ive been obsessing over the J58 and finally bit the bullet, but feel like Im stuck between sizes.  Below are pics of sz. Med/Lg, I wanted a slimmer fit but Med feels like may be too small.  I just messaged ACR about getting a longer piece of elastic for the Med waistband which I think may alleviate an issue.  Look forward to your thoughts.
