I own the KR-SM1 and the Nylon pouch part has never gotten in the way. I just make sure to wear the nylon against the body so that it's not visible. Mine is quite old so some of the text has worn off. That's the only part that really annoys me. Otherwise, it's been a staple in my collection.

I echo this sentiment.  I also have 1 for sale, hmu.

  2. I wonder how many other brand forums, etc.. this person is on complaining about price and essentially declaring how much better they could do it themselves...

You should really start an airism thread and shit on ACR there instead

100% this.  This thread should be for fans of the brand.  I understand that some constructive criticism or discussion about QC issues will be inevitable, but if someone literally hates everything about the brand and knows they could do everything better, I agree that they should go start their own thread and/or clothing brand.

I just copped a pristine pair of P16a-CH a couple weeks back. After wearing my p10-ch regularly for the last 5 years, it feels fucking majestic walking around with like twice as much fabric lol

Is it thicker than the P10-CH?

wow, so you had the entirety of the hem binding replaced as well? i was hoping to open up the ends to pull out the old piece within and replace

There is no inner elastic, the black binding on the outside is the elastic.

please do. was it just as simple as affixing it on both ends of the hem?

My initial plan was to do something like that, an extension of sorts.  But I opted to have the whole thing replaced to keep it looking clean.  I paid a premium to a local guy who makes clothes and he did a really clean job of swapping the elastic, you'd never know that it wasn't original.  Definitely want someone who understands how to get the measurement and gathering correct for installing the new piece.

forgot who here removed the elastic from their j58 - has anyone else done it? seconds away from biting the bullet here

Yeah, I had mine replaced with a longer piece so as to relax the fit.  I posted pics several pages back.  If you are going to proceed I can send you a link for the elastic I used, it took me about 6 tries to find something that matched OEM elastic.

    Those P24-S are tempting me

They are so good, I have been wearing them at least 3x a week since I got them, very easy to style and very comfortable.

On another note, so many years later, i'm still amazed by the foldable 6ts flap that you can extend out if the load of the bag requires it. I'm sure it's been used elsewhere by other people but i seldom see it at all yet it's such a simple solution. Whether it was bagjack or acr good job to them

Any neat details you guys will never fail to be impressed by? I'm sure the phone pocket is a big one

The removable bag liners are a great touch too.

Would love some advice on jacket sizing.

I'm a LARGE in Veilance. True chest is 42". Most of my jackets are 22" pit to pit.

Seems like a J1B-GT, for example, in a Medium would be good, not slim, good to layer underneath?

For what it's worth, I am 5'7, 175lbs right now.

I can't speak to that particular jacket but based on your size I would guess Large would generally be a better fit.

Awesome.  I really cannot live with tight.

Really appreciate the response.  Do you normally take a large in the pants as well?  Kind of jumping in head first.

Always large for pants (I have a 34" waist), but I am picky about which model due to the often short inseams.  I'm around a 33"+ inseam.

@thatslapz - would you mind commenting on your measurements?  I ordered a large and am concerned I should have got a medium (I am 5'11, 180 lbs, about a 40" chest).  Typically between a medium and a large, but don't really care for things to be too tight.

Would wear with and without a liner.

Im similar dimensions and usually wear a large in ACR, sometimes medium though.  If you aren't a fan of tight and plan to layer, I think you are in good shape with the large.

UK Buyers. PayPals return shipping refund is capped at £15. You can do this 12 times per calendar year. Every little helps I guess.

I didn't realize this service was offered, would be nice if they would leverage the size of their company and offer labels or even discounted labels in lieu of refunds.  Returns to ACR from the US are way too expensive and a company like PayPal could certainly negotiate a better rate.

Yes, prices from 660 -> 1550 is not a problem at all.

??? Why are you acting like price doesn't matter? If ACR price hikes to 3k tomorrow you won't say anything?

I am acting like price doesn't matter because it doesn't.  You or me getting on the internet and complaining about pricing is not going to change the luxury goods market.  I want Porsches to cost $40,000 and Bugatti's to cost $100,000, but that isn't going to happen.  I want there to be an infinite supply of Supreme x LV at a price point the everyperson can afford.  I want J1A to cost $700 not the very reasonable price of $1400 you have suggested.

What I really want though, is for ACRNM to continue to do whatever the fuck they want and can get away with.  If people are willing to pay $3,000 for a shell, then they should charge $3,000 for a shell.  It is a brand that I like and I want them to have success by whatever measure they determine.  I don't care how many units of a particular item you think they should produce, I want them to be happy and creative and do what they have done for a very long time that has been working very well for them.

As the person who started this thread, I’m fine with dissenting opinions. Blind “passionate support” just shows a lack of capacity for critical thought. The ideas @Orientalq is talking about are certainly not new or unique to ACR, but they are certainly relevant and belong here.

You're thread so you're the boss, but I did not say or imply "blind" passionate support.  On the contrary I think a majority of the people who have followed and contributed to this thread for a long time have done so with eyes wide open and with a lot of critical thought regarding the details that go in to the garments.  Whether someone deems those details valuable enough to justify the price is irrelevant, the price is the price.
