  1. Frank Wright loafers were the big thing back in those days I recall.
  2. Just sorting through some old clothes for charity/throwing out and came across these:
  3. I see Leigh Bowery’s name on the cover of the NME. Many years ago, I worked as a Housing Officer for a local authority and Leigh Bowery was one of my tenants. He had a very unusual and interesting flat!
  4. Is that a Sugar Cane ‘43 Charlie? Are they a general release or a Junky Special (or similar) limited edition? Or something else entirely?!
  5. My experience with Full Count (and these are the old pairs with arcs and tabs) is to size down 1” from the size you’d buy in other Japanese brands such as Warehouse, SDA, Sugar Cane, Momotaro. So if you’d usually buy a size 30 then a 29 in Full Count should be good and that’s what all those Internet measurements seem to suggest too.
  6. ^ I think the Vintage Sweatshirts thread refers to vintage and vintage-style sweatshirts rather than just old ones, so I’d say that’s the right place. Unless of course it’s some kind of modern Rick Owens number that comes down to your knees.
  7. The Germans probably refer to that as “the full Austrian”.
  8. ^ You’ll need to move faster to outrun it!
  9. My other elderly pair waiting patiently in the queue are Levi’s Japan 503 BSXX natural indigo from 1991.
  10. ^ You won’t lose - @MJF9 has more denim jackets than you’ve had hot dinners!
  11. Good comparison b_F. The Denimes look like they have more hip flare and/or tapered waist.
  12. I didn’t actually buy them in 1873 John, I waited until they went on deep discount in late 1874. The precedent was set for all those LVC purchases many years later!
  13. They’re not that special other than the fact that they haven’t been made for some time, assuming they’re the MIJ Edwin models. I bought (and subsequently sold) a couple of pairs of the Lee Cowboy 1937 101s quite a few years ago. They cost me about £105 each. They were nice jeans and very well made but I didn’t really like the fit, the hems were a bit wide for my taste.
  14. It’s so that when women ride side saddle, the fly will still be at the front.
  15. The 1934 131 jeans are my favourite.
  16. He still hasn’t got over the decision to remove the red tab and arcs.
  17. Well done! Did he just take it off and give it to you and walk away topless with the £20? We need to know more…
  18. There’s a West Ride thread. I think @unders has that model.
